POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

At night I decided to reinstall windows, just because it's time anyway, and while on that, tried 23h2. 2 hours played without issue and game hangs, again, again 100% CPU load. So no, its not 24h2 problem, just like others say. And topic author need to stop doing edits without facts. A lot of "fixes" work for some, but after time it will hang again, there's no fix, not before developers do something.

Turning off multithreading worked for me. 9800x3d, 4080 super.

The problem is that it is a mitigation, that not always works. I did the same, with CPU limitation and core affinity, and the occurrence of the freeze seems to drop, but sometimes it freezes at the first load, sometimes after 4 hours, sometimes it does not happen.

Still random and unpredictable.

Noticing one thing, though: seems like all of us having the issue have a very high end specs PC.

RTX 4070 super to 4090, Ryzen 7800X3d to Ryzen 9800X3D.

I mean we spent 2k € in the PC build and are the ones to get f.

I have removed the edits as suggested.

That said, some players are no longer experiencing loading screen freeze issues on 23H2 (me included, for now), but I believe there are several factors contributing to the same error—such as drivers, game coding, hardware, or overclocking (OC).

For example, some players might be facing issues due to overclocking or high temperatures, others may have corrupted drivers or faulty hardware, and there are cases where the problem isn’t on the player’s end at all, but the way POE 2 operates causes their systems to freeze.

We really need GGG to release at least a temporary fix while waiting for new drivers or updates that can address this issue. Even if 99% of the fault lies with GGG or the game itself, hardware and drivers should be designed to prevent a full PC freeze—whether by closing the game or reducing component performance to avoid system crashes.

I got 4070 super, yea, but ryzen 3700x only.
There a lot of high end Intel users too tho.
Its mostly what killing me, developers just went silent, and people more discussing nerfed frozen sorc build. Its more like, what all these 80 pages of PC hang to half a million players, whatever

there has long been a solution for this, not from GGG but it solves the problem.

Download this:

https://mion.yosei.fi/BES/

Open BES.exe ->
Open Poe2 ->
Stay at the poe2 login screen and tab out ->
select “Target” for BES ->
select the poe2.exe and click “limit this” ->
click YES ->
pulls the slider down to -5% ->
done!

This solution solved the game for everyone on my discord - even if the game should freeze again the game can no longer go into complete lockup!

It is not a solution to limit your CPU. Most of the people aren't going to come here and complain about freezing - they are just going to uninstall the game.

I don't understand why people repeat the same gold "fixes" like this - we've already read this 1000 times, you don't need to repeat it once again.

We need a real fix from the developers, not this shit...

Issue still present post patch. None of the home grown "suggestions" by others in thread have worked, no matter how great it worked for 100% of their club, clan, discord, secret society etc.

and they are working on it. So either use one of magic fixes, or don't play. Really 2 alternatives now for people having this issue.
