I went from a steady 47-50 FPS that ignored all my messing with the graphics to 200 FPS and all it took was downloading the file and running it.

Now if it would fix the crashes too that would be a cherry on top, but at least we cooking on the FPS.

Edit: Holy crap the game is smoooooooth like butter now.

solved for me
just need to change windowed fullscreen
and upscale mode to NVIDIA DLSS

Thought it was my hardware, but when I started playing, ran very smooth, then dropped off a cliff recently. These settings fixed the stuttering and lag for me. Thanks so much, game was unplayable!

Running:
W10
1080ti
i5-9600k
32GB DDR4

Edit: Spoke to soon, worked fine for one map then cooked it again, back a laggy mess :(

Edit edit: Deleted shader cache (C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile 2\ShaderCacheX) and it's working... for now.

Edit edit edit: Cooked again, fix this GGG, game is unplayable now.

Try deleting the shader cache first then upping the cache limit to 100GB in the Nvidia setting(before starting tha game again). Apparently that works for some?

EDIT: I think there's something wonky with the shaders for sure. Even with this I get the shader thing peak out of nowhere all the time leading to stutters.

And like you go back to the title screen and then it starts to compile shaders again? Shouldn't that be done already? There's gotta be something up with the shader stuff

Does it have to do with disk space or if the game is installed on a different drive or something?

I posted this above. Deleting the shaders will work (I mean, it did for me) but after deleting we must reboot the computer. I have no fucking clue why the computer must be rebooted but I tried different variations and only a sequence of deleting shaders > reboot > start Poe2 worked.

It keeps on working, but annoying to reboot. I go around this by not closing PoE2 unless I need to.

Deleted shaders but did not reboot:

Deleted shaders, rebooted, started PoE2:
+1 optimization could use a lot of work, rare on death explosion is a massive hit to fps and bloats visual clarity. needs looking at.
So the issue is PC specifications need to be a lot higher than what they are listed on POE2 website. My computer rig does meet the specifications and in fact exceeded it. My solution to fixing the problem was a simple one. I signed up for Gforce now and I stream the game and now and it works perfectly. The only issue I have now is I can't use a loop filter as it not allowed with cloud gaming.
same here, using geforce now since they have xxxx fixed the game.
