PROBLEM WITH PERFORMANCE ON POE 2

RTX 4070 SUPER WITH RYZEN 7 5800X 1440P SETTINGS ULTRA DLSS /DLAA JUST 40 AND 50 FPS AND SOME YOUTUBER CAN PLAY WITH THE SAME GPU AND CPU AND SETTINGS TO 70 AND 80FPS

I FOUND A SOLUTION!!!!!! My computer was using the wrong GPU for the game. Look up Graphics Settings in windows and choose the first option. Look for path of exile 2 in the list or add it if its not there (go to steam, right click the game, manage, browse local files, and copy the direction), choose your best GPU (If you don't know which one is better, just open any game other than POE 2 and see which GPU spikes in your task manager). Open the game again AND IT SHOULD RUN LIKE BUTTER. WHY DOES IT CHOOSE THE BAD ONE? WHO KNOWS, BUT NOW IT SHOULD WORK |

I am on 1080 ti and my gpu usage od DX12 is around 40%. Is this normal?

Guys, guys, GUYS! STOP!
Check this out: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/165nkla/how_i_fixed_cpu_stuttering_on_the_latest_patch/ I went from a steady 47-50 FPS that ignored all my messing with the graphics to 200 FPS and all it took was downloading the file and running it. Now if it would fix the crashes too that would be a cherry on top, but at least we cooking on the FPS. Edit: Holy crap the game is smoooooooth like butter now. " Hold up this actually worked lol. It didn't give me like AMAZING performance or anything, I'm running older hardware so I don't expect miracles, but it's STABLE! I'm not dropping to like 20fps in the drowned city any more! THANK YOU! |

I had two monitors plugged into my GPU. Dont be like me. Game running great now xD

" As weird shit goes I crashed and the FPS went back to 50. Even after using the file again it never worked again. I kept looking and someone recommended disabling the integrated GPU. I scoffed since I had everywhere I could find pointing at my actual graphic card. But, okay, sure, win + R, devmgmt.msc, Display Adapters, wtf, there really is an integrated card? Disabled it. Started PoE2, 150 - 200 FPS again. What the frick... |

I have found at least three solutions that worked for me, but two of them were one-offs.
1 - Use a power plan file (I linked this earlier). Worked immediately, went from 45-50 FPS to 150-200. Stopped worked when I relogged. 2 - Disable my integrated graphic's card. Again immediate jump to 15-200 FPS. Again, stopped working after a relog. 3 - Delete the shader cache, reboot, start PoE2 first off before even opening the browser. 150-200 FPS. So far this is the only solution that has repeatedly worked. Those steps need to be followed though. I tried simply deleting the cache but the game went back to 50 FPS. But deleting and rebooting for some godforsaken reason does the trick. So well indeed that I disabled multithreading to stop with the computer freezes and still have around 80 FPS when fighting solo (though the lack of multi threading is visible when in town where FPS drops to 25). One might think that 45-50 FPS isn't too bad. And it isn't, game's playable, but the FPS does not tell the whole story. There is a visible micro stutter that the FPS does not reflect. With the shader deletion trick the micro stutter is visibly gone. But the real star is disabling multithreading which has stopped all the computer freezes the game was causing. Mind you that my computer is pretty recent so 70-80 FPS might not be what other people have, but don't take the performance in town too importantly since we spend very little time there. |

" Incredible, went from : - 15 fps - constant lag spike / freeze /stuttering - with all possible options to low/desactivate From : - 55 fps (I have an old config) - 0 freeze anymore - settings back to high Game is now smooth to play This is insane...thanks Last edited by Zuulka#0121 on Dec 16, 2024, 7:52:17 AM
