CPU spikes every 2 seconds or so that get worse and reset on relog.
" I have an update on this, unfortunately vulkan doesn't guarantee a workaround. It started happening eventually, and I think it got triggered by alt-tabbing. I tried disabling fps limiters in background, but it didn't do anything. Also, the stutter is most noticeable when "rooms" are loading when exploring. |

" Alt tabbing is one of those things that can make them more aggressive. Its a very weird bug. Alt tabbing or loading zones (going back to town!) makes my spikes go from 4-6ms to like 4-50ms. And they stay there until i relog, through sometimes i have to relog 2 or 3 times. |

I have the same issue. I think it is the multithreading problem, because when I turned it off my fps became lower but stable without spikes.

Actually i may have found the root cause: Its chat messages.
Iam able to recreate massive cpu lag by simply quickly enabling and disabling chat in the options. Iam usally in Global 1 and Trade 1 (though hidden). Now if i go to another global/trade that nobody uses my spikes disappeared. So far this is the only things that made the spikes disappear and it also explains the strange intervals of the spikes. Every time someone writes a message in chat you get a massive cpu spike. There may be more to it but i think thats it. |

" Interesting, but I play with chat off, so might be more things that cause the same issue. |

My issues usually happen when other players are with me.
In towns and in parties. It's like the game is having trouble reading all their stats and gear and interactions. But if I play 100% solo, or stay out of towns with other players in them, I usually have no problems. Diablo 4 had a similar issue at launch, and then we learned that D4 attempts to load every single item in your inventory, as well as every single other player's items in their inventories, when you enter the same instance with them. So loading into new zones with lots of other players in them, especially in towns, was causing crashes before the game could even finish loading. Not sure what Blizzard did to fix that, but I wonder if it's a similar problem with this game and how the servers share inventory and stat data between players in the same instances. Who knows though. Might be something else entirely with POE2. Windows 11 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD

I had this issue after the latest patch.
The problem was the chat , even if i turned off all chat the problem was still there. Somehow the game thinks its still open. So the solution is to enter eg /global 4569 and /trade 6192 , these chat rooms were empty and no one was typing there and my problem was gone. |
