Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

If you are able, from the waypoint: hold CTRL and click the area you're in to create a new instance.

From what I can tell for my issues, the weird stuttering/lag and network spikes are related to whatever instance you are in.

Usually after a few tries I'll get an instance that isn't garbage and is buttery smooth (further solidifying my belief that its not on my end).. but beware, if you die - then it's the luck of the draw whether you respawn in not laggy instance.

Adding to the lag experience. Definitely the worst day so far. Spikes to 1000-2000ms every 5 secs.

Turn off Triple Buffering. That did the trick for me, for whatever reason after the last update something changed and it was causing this stupid freezing/network issue

Have experienced bad latency spikes twice before today, but neither lasted for over 2 hours. Today, however, has been almost completely unplayable from the time I logged in around 2 pm my time to the present.

The only difference is the recent patch, though I'm not saying that was the cause. I've changed the servers I connect to and even seriously tinkered with settings and other suggested fixes which I honestly fear did more damage.

I'm not even able to play right now. I log in to check how bad the latency spikes are and promptly log back out after confirming it's still an issue.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

some map instances have crazy lag spikes,
sometimes we "roll" instance with ctrl+click on entry or waypoint to get good instance
on death u get into different instance
most of time (we play duo with friend) we have same lockstep stuttering on same instance, but one time i was good and my friend was lockstepped. so idk what logic is working here.

This just started for me too.

Sometimes i get into an instance and its a straight ping line of 24ms pure butter smooth and then I zone in and my ms graph is super up and down jagged.

I restart or relog to get different instance and then i zone in and get something bad. Its not even able to be played right now, its really bad.

I have nearly same setup as TS. But my 180 fps never stutter, and i have zero issue. That said: it might sound stupid but... Did u tried to update drivers? xD

It's a server thing

Here's a fix:

Keep creating new instances of the zone you're in until you get one that doesnt spike. usually takes 2-3 times but youll get one eventually. annoying as hell but its a makeshift fix until their servers get sorted out.

I went into the Nvidia App, there is a sections called Program Settings and PoE2 was listed, to the right it had a button to OPTIMIZE, so I clicked it. I was having pretty bad lag earlier, that I had logged off. I logged back in and the game is good again, just very slight stutter once in a while. Hope this helps some of you.
