Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

Latency jumps from 20ms to 200ms+ every couple of seconds. Had same problem when playing POE 1, had to change networking to predictive.

Just played fine for around 1h (Act 1 Cruel), no problems at all and about 8ms ping.

After I defeated the King of the Mist, I ported back to Clearfell Encampment and as soon as the loading screen finished loading, I now have a latency graph that looks like this:

So it definitely has to do with the areas in game.

EDIT:

I just ported back to Freythorn and the spikes/lags/stutter are completely gone, 7-9ms ping.

EDIT2:

Ported to Ogham Farmlands and everything is fine. Then to test it, ported again back into Clearfell Encampment and the spikes/lags/stutter is back.

EDIT3:

Game crashed (froze my entire PC), I rebooted, logged back and and now Clearfell Encampment just runs fine.

lol

same problem here, palyed last 8h without any lag and now its gets Lagging again
For me its kinda about time.

The later it gets during the day the more issues i have. From around early morning till like 4pm all is fine. Then lags start to appear and boss fights are more about luck than trying to avoid damage.

I have no lag or stuttering at all at the early hours no matter what map i am on...but right now i went into the manor and when i had to fight the wolf it started to get more choppy by the minute till i had like complete lags for 2-3 seconds.

Also i did not crash once on the early hours. But once the time progresses after 5pm i cannot even load the game anymore. yesterday i gave up after trying to load the game 20x

From loading up CTD, selecting server CTD to select Char CTD or the most often loading into town CTD.

Its rather a server issue i think means depending on how crowded it is the game seems to become unstable or if too many players are on the same instance like in town.

There are so many theories about if its this or this version of Windows...and which build.

I am using a pretty old Win10 with barely made updates and all is fine it only starts to act up later the day...so it cant be an windows issue or a build.

Win 10 Pro 64bit
nvidia 2060 newest driver
ryzen 1700
16gb ram

While some report linux has no issues like this...some say its the latest win update that solves it, some roll back the drivers or even bios and suddenly it seems to work. Some try limiting CPU usage as i often see myself like 100% usage on loading into an instance or even hard freezes.

So this might be not related and another issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fact for me is...i have no issues early hours...and the later in the day the game becomes laggy or then i cant even load into it anymore.

This problem started yesterday. Completely unplayable. Before it, I played for two days, and everything was fine.
I'm playing on PS5, so most of the proposed workaround isn't possible here.
I was playing on Wi-Fi and tried changing from 5Ghz to 2.4 and back, but nothing changed. I can't use a LAN cable now, but maybe I will try it next week.
Spikes from 20-30 to 300+ every few seconds, more stable while the character is idle, more brutal during the action.

Bump.

Exact same problem here.
Gateway latency is around 40ms.
FPS is at a steady 60fps.

I have done several things such as closing all other apps that might be using the internet from my computer.

I am using the Steam POE2 client. Wondering if that may be the issue here.

For what it's worth, I've experienced this when running the EGS POE2 client. I've played in identical instances with my partner who's using the Steam POE2 client. Only I have these lag spikes, he does not, and we're playing less than a meter away from each other on identical connections to wireless on matched laptops.

Also observed this on my desktop, same fluctuating ping. Happens with or without triple buffering, with 5GHz or 2.4GHz network.

Tried one of the previous recommended solutions of joining global/trade channels 999, disabling both, and nixing Client.txt in /logs. Almost thought it had worked but then got the most sustained 150-200ms ping to date just after I had the thought of "Hey, maybe this did work!".

Brought every visual setting down to the absolute minimum as well. This, too, has no impact.

I'll science more in the morning but if it's impacting the Steam client, it may not be the fault of the platform I was gifted the code on (not that I could see how that would be; it's all the same servers regardless).

Exactly the same happen with me: I play with friend and we both use steam version of the game. I play on Sorceress and he play on Monk. I have stutters and network spikes, but he don't. We live at the same house and have the same internet provider. When we enter instance we have exactly the same ping, but only I get ping spikes (or latency spikes). Also, if we create additional level instances until we get lowest ping possible (which is 23ms for us) those network spikes reducing significantly for me. Additional, sometimes I still have small stutters for no reason even if there was no big network spikes: for example I got stable 23ms ping and suddenly ping increased to 32ms for 1ms - as result small stutter happens even if you barely can see any difference on graph. In the peak hours all this situation with stutters getting worse.

My Specs:
CPU - Ryzen 7 5700x
GPU - RTX 4070 Super
RAM - 32 Gb
M2 Samsung SSD disk.
Operation System - Windows 10

My Friend Specs:
CPU - Ryzen 7 5600x
GPU - Radeon RX 6600
RAM - 16 Gb
Some SSD disk
OS - Windows 10

P.S. In case some people don't know you can create new instances for your current location if you press CTRL+Left Mouse Button when you press on teleport on Map for teleportation. You can create new instances until you get a server with better ping for you. For example usually I get 60ms servers ping, but sometimes I get instance with 23ms ping. This will help you reduce stutters. Just know that server may change for you after death and you will see increased ping again with a lot of stutters back.

IRL NPC detected.. nice ads but 0 helpfull in the real world..

How does it come that GGG doesn't reply to this issues?
All global chats are full with that issues...
