Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access
" There most likely aware of it because they moved the this post into a different section so they must be notice the origin of this problem. However I do believe that this is more or less fixed over a longer duration. As far as I know they are focused more right now on some balancing and are focused on the hard-lock crashes which is going on with a lot of people. |

The games system says I have 17 ms, but any input is about 2.1 seconds behind my input. Can't fight regular mobs let alone bosses. This is insane.

Same here. really unresponsive.

|
Same here for the last 48 hours massive spikes in network latency going between 30-500. Stuttering rubber banding. Tried SG and HK servers both exactly the same
|
|
Same here. Tried connecting to different servers, the stutters could improve a bit, but are always present. Have been experiencing horrible stutters today, there were no issues before.

another day, no patch and no reply. still an issue

It's fucking awful and not worth the headache. I have SO MANY online games that work better. There is no reason why this should be supported with money.

Guys, I wanted to contact support, but read their rules and found that I can't contact support with technical issues... I need to create a thread in "Technical Support" forum section. So, I am not sure if we are in correct thread to get answer from GGG, but here is Latency Spikes thread on technical support: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3595450/page/14#p25640842

Hey guys,
I had the same issues as you and I guess I found a way on how to solve it. However, it is a combination of the game/server and your internet connection. It has nothing to do with your hardware setup. You have to use a lan connection. That's it. I tried to play the game with a friend of mine on my PS5 in couch coop. But there were sometimes lags that took up to 30 seconds, then fast-forwarding the missed 30 seconds and often ended up in us lying dead on the ground. It was unplayable. We tried different solutions. - We lowered the graphics (which shouldn't matter on a PS5 either way) but it didn't work. - We chose special servers (we're German so we chose Frankfurt firstly as our main, then Amsterdam, then London) but none of them worked better. - We set the WiFi to 2,4Ghz only and this was the only way to get the game lag a bit less, but it was still unplayable. - This also happend playing alone, so coop wasn't the problem either. But: my PS5 was connected via WiFi, the PS5 of my friend via LAN. On his PS5, everything was smooth. So today, I connected my PS5 via LAN too. And it works like a charm. Nothing else was changed. We are playing for like 1,5 hours now without even one lag. I'm not an IT expert, but I guess it's about WiFi sometimes losing packages and the game (right now) can't handle this loss good enough and gets out of sync or something. Restarting the game or creating a new instance might solve it for a short time, but as soon as another loss/lag happens, the game becomes unplayable again. Your posts really helped to at least keep trying and not to feel alone with the problem, so I hope you can also try this and maybe enjoy playing the game now. Best typdertweetet |

Ive noticed stuttering when I have background stuff running...for example, steam installing or updating something.
ALSO, there was an instance a couple nights ago where the beginning of act 2 would keep stuttering and hitching and what ended up fixing it for me, was TPing to act 1, then back to act 2. I don't know what the significance of this could be, but I am guessing something in the code trying to update / looping without an end state. I have an rtx 4070 and frame rates always above 100 fps. |
