" Been going on since launch… my game played fine until first patch… then RIP |

For me the problem seems to be tied to a few particular servers.
A friend recommended to change the gateway but that alone did not fix it. Each map seems to be allocated to you on a server near your gateway (servers can be different from map to map). And the map keeps allocation to that server even if you change gateway. But if you open a new instance (ctrl + click on waypoint or gate) that new instance is then opened on a server near the new gateway. This helps me avoid ongoing lagspikes whenever they come up. |

" Yes, this helps if you are still in campaign. But this won't work for endgame, as you can't create new instances for maps. I even tried to contact a few of the big streamers, so that they can do a video about the issue (to get more attention), but no one answered yet. Can't believe none of them encountered this issue?! |
|
" This is what it feels like. If it weren't for threads like this one I would feel nearly completely gaslit. I was glancing over streamers like Quin69, which happens to also be in NZ where GGG is located. The servers appear to run smooth like butter there. But moreover, I was watching other less popular Streamers playing on the same server I am, not experiencing any sudden spikes and slowdowns / +800% character speed situations. The latest patch made everything worse for me and some others so I am starting to believe it might be specific skills / passives that are causing system / server latency issues. |

Having the same issue for days now, this thread is 70 pages deep with 12 days of bumping. Have staff responded to it to give some kind of clarity or advice on something to help ?

" The saddest part is that it works until you die. :) Then an instance gets recreated and here come the spikes. | |
I'm almost certain its the servers at this point. It always gets much worse on EU prime time

I had the same issue I fixed it by verifying the game files.
1. Open your Game Library on Steam. 2. Right-click on your game. 3. Select Properties from the menu. 4. In the Properties menu, select 'Local Files' from the left-hand panel. 5. On the Local Files page, select 'Verify integrity of game files' Steam will then verify your files, this takes a while. Hope it helps. |

(POTENTIAL FIX)
So I to, was having the micro stutters (in fact i was having micro stutters in PoE1 as well), especially when I was going through tight corridors/dungeons (like the 2 sub area's in the cemetery). I was looking at the CPU ping and it was bouncing up and down and up and down. I actually made sure to download and update my chipset drivers for my CPU. I got everything that the downloader was offering. GPID, PSP, and one other i can't remember (sorry). Once I applied those and restarted my PC, the micro stutter's were gone. (along with some certain settings I made to the Options menu in the graphics) I turned off Triple Buffering (which made a huge difference, even though i have it turned on in the Nvidia control panel as a global setting) All my graphics settings are maxed out. Dynamic Culling is on with a minimum FPS 60. PC Specs: CPU: AMD 5800X3D (AM4 Socket) MoBo: Asus Prime X570 4tb NVME M.2 Storage GPU: Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090 RAM: 32gbs (2x16) @ 3200mhz I really hope this helps some peeps in need. If in doubt...always update Drivers |
