POE2 Win11 24H2 Crashes - Constant crashing, >100% CPU usage, and more
I also have an High CPU usage while changing maps. Sometimes the Caravan is also a Problem. In some maps, the shaders are also a problem.

After playing the game for 250+ hours i started experiencing screen freezes where the only option i have is to press the power button and do full reset. I've have now applied all the fixes i could find online up to and including deleting shader caches . allocating more shader cache space in Nvidia (100GB) when i load the game i turn of 2 CPU cores so when it does inevitably freeze at least i can turn of the program without having to reboot entire system... For the life of me io cant seem to get it figures out... Some people are blaming the new windows update others say its POE 2 coding. regardless , this needs to be fixed asap... not only makes the game unplayable but is very detrimental to my hardware.

@GGG any update on this issue ? Win 11 24h2, freeze pc on loading screen.

This situation is devastating to my goodwill towards GGG.
I can only decide if the game will be tedious (turning off MultiThreading engine EVERY time I change zones), bad (turn it off forever) or terrible (forgetting to turn it off and freezing entire PC) Not to mention it is not healthy for my precious hardware at all. Heart broken :( |

Just throwing my hat in the thread here. Game is also unplayable for me (AMD CPU).
This is on top of the other gamebreaking bug where the game will just randomly brick your maps with lagspikes, and there's no way to fix that either, outside of just closing the game and trying against a few hours later. And apparently that bug dates back to PoE1 as well. Pretty shocked these issues are still in PoE2, on top of this PC crashing multithreading issue. You'd think these issues would be top priority before anything else for the devs. Until then, I cannot recommend this game to my friends and colleagues. You have to do better GGG, this is very disappointing. Last edited by Hatson#5723 on Feb 3, 2025, 2:58:57 PM

After playing the game for many hours i started experiencing screen freezes where the only option i have is to press the power button and do full reset.
the game is currently unplayable, leaving the city in 3 out of 4 cases ends with a freezes. today's patch didn't change anything |

The game update on February 3, 2025 still failed to resolve this issue. It's hard to imagine that a game running on a system version with a large user base continues to experience crashes and freezes, even two months after its launch. This is almost inconceivable by common sense and is utterly disappointing and shocking.
