POE2 Win11 24H2 Crashes - Constant crashing, >100% CPU usage, and more
5700x3d, still happening, GGG hasn't even adressed this yet which is insane

Im on a 9800x3d, 4090, Msi 870 Tomahawk having the same issue since updating to 24h2. I fixed it and it’s basically an easy if not stupid solution:
Rollback to 23h2. That fixed the problem completely no crashes since. Yea, might lose on a bit of fps, but 24h2 is a buggy piece of trash, so who cares. How you do it: While in windows hold shift and click on restart. That will bring you to the problemfixing screen. You select fix problem, uninstall functional update. This will do a rollback to 23h2. Enjoy poe2. |

i dont understand who back to 23h2

This crash has nothing to do with 24H2 and rolling back to 23H2 does not solve it, there are many who crash with 23H2.
Also 24H2 is a mandatory update, soon there will be no option to rollback. This issue is 100% a Path of Exile 2 issue. It has been 45 days now... That's why, once again I ask anyone who encounters this problem to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner so that others will be made aware of the issue. I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do: 1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad. 2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review. 3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there. |
|
I gave a negative review a long time ago, they ignore the problem of thousands of people, fuck them
|
|
I have put a negative review too ... i hope they fking fix this quick it's so annoying .....

Well, for me it only happened once I installed 24h2, after I rolled back, it was gone.
I reinstalled it today AND installed a AMD driver update via the adrenaline software they have and didn’t encounter the issue anymore either. I’m not saying it’s a problem poe2 has, that’s obvious but for me it’s a combination of certain drivers with 24h2. |

Changing the render to Vulkan seems to help (intel/Nvidia)

Vulkan not help insta crash when i go to map xD

I've been dealing with this issue since launch.
The only way I can play the game without constant crashing is by disabling Engine Multithreading. Such a shame, it limits ~45 FPS and makes the game look horrible. System specs: i7-13700K 3.4GHz RTX 4070 DDR5 5600 32GB Windows 11 23H2 |
