No, you misunderstood the change. Gold doesn't drop, gold is loot that would have dropped as items being converted to gold instead. They are capping the item conversion rate from 100% to 50%, so items actually drop again. If you see like 250 gold from a boss in a single pile, that was a rare item you could have used.

Amazing patch. Already love the game so far. Only thing I want now is some bug fixing, devestate support gem doesn't seem to work for Leap slam for example.

I don't know about that. My personal take is that is actually very rewarding and very satisfying. I get hyped everytime a rare item drops. Heck even when a base suitable for my class does.

I know you you are going to make the right decisions when the goal is to make the best ARPG and I've known that since poe1 beta.
