Hello GGG team,
First of all, thank you for the opportunity to participate in the beta and experience the early stages of Path of Exile 2. The potential is clear, and the game is shaping up to be something truly exciting. That said, I've encountered several issues that I believe are worth addressing. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall experience: Gameplay Mechanics and Bugs High-Velocity Monsters: Some high-velocity monsters push the player around as if they're made of paper. This feels frustrating, especially in tight spaces, where positioning is critical. Boss Encounters (Merciless Difficulty): There are bosses that seem impossible to complete for some players. Interestingly, this varies, as different players report different problematic bosses, particularly on Merciless difficulty. It would help to ensure these encounters are more consistent across the board. Act 2 Map Text Glitch: Entering the Mawdun Mines in Act 2 causes the map text to glitch. This is a minor visual issue but still worth noting for polish. Leap Slam: The ability feels somewhat clunky in its current state. Improvements to its responsiveness and flow would be much appreciated. Respec Costs in Beta: As others have mentioned, the respec costs feel too high for a beta environment. Allowing free or significantly cheaper respeccing during the beta phase would enable better testing, encourage experimentation, and help uncover more bugs and balance issues. Controller and Multiplayer Issues Controller + Keyboard Compatibility: In dual-player mode, it would be great to have the option for one player to use a controller while the other uses a keyboard and mouse. Currently, this seems unsupported, which limits flexibility. Auto-Follow Functionality: The auto-follow feature in multiplayer mode is somewhat broken. It frequently causes players to get stuck on terrain or objects, which disrupts the flow of gameplay. Group Play Boss Buffs: Boss scaling in group play can feel unpredictable. For example: As group of three Level 50+ characters we encountered a boss in Act 2 with so much health that we couldn’t kill it. Conversely, as duo with one Level 50+ character and one Level 25 character we were able to one-shot an Act 2 boss. This inconsistency creates frustration and confusion about what to expect in group encounters. Closing Thoughts These are just a few observations from my time in the beta. Overall, the game has immense potential, and I’m excited to see how it evolves. Please consider these issues as opportunities to polish the gameplay experience for players across all styles and builds. Thank you for your hard work, and I look forward to seeing the next updates! |

Been gaming since 1980 (yea, im realy old), started with text-based games, then came internet along. So thats 34 years of gaming, and this is the new record for "lets kill the game asap patch!" :-) So i logged out by a boss, when i log in, cant do shit, getting oneshotted, cant kite to safe location, cant tp out. I managed to get to cruel without going COI, respecced in Act1 cruel to COI and used all my orbs/money to do it (going sceptre as i try aura build)
COI needed a nerf, like a 50% nerf would be fair. This patch made COI utterly useless, its better to use punch as sorc:-) Need free-respec and someway to spawn in safe location, otherwise its GG. |

While I do understand the nerf, this was a bit harsh. But lets face it, one shotting a whole screen of mobs, including rares, is a bit OP. Same with bosses, just dies in seconds. You guys should’ve seen this one comming. Either way, nerfing it by 10x doesnt feel appropriate. How about giving freeze a chance to proc the spell instead? Like give freeze a 10% chance to proc the spell on white mobs, 20% on magic and rare mobs and like 100% on bosses. Maybe thats even too strong, just throwing ideas out there.
Also, you should give everyone the option to fully respec for 5-10 ingame hours after such drastic nerfs to a ability. That will give people time to test and see if they want to keep playing the build, or change it. On that note, why are respec costs even a thing in early access? Stuff changes all the time, and I think it would be in the best interest of PoE2’s future to allow everyone to experiment with builds freely. Easier to find these broken interactions and stuff that doesnt work as intended. |

Once again GGG destroys all the fun in PoE. That problem lingered for years in PoE 1. Each new league GGG introduces a couple new gems and nerfes to death a dozen of old ones. That led to the fact that not a trace remained of the variety of strategies and builds that delighted me so much 5 years ago. Each ascendancy was left with roughly 2-3 builds that you cant even name all-rounders. They were a pitiful shadow that was constructed after the patch. I truly hoped that in PoE 2 this wont happen again but sadly it did. Once again GGG rushes through builds, gems and mechanics like a roller, demolishing any build that even slightly begins to stand out from the rest. I mean it, they dont balance it, dont apply any tweaks here or there - they nerf it to dust, making it totally unplayable.I love playing PoE, but you're killing your game with your own actions.
I wish the developers to come to their senses and stop that massacre, or PoE 2 will repeat the fate of PoE 1. After all the bottomless variety of all kinds of strategies made this game so unique and fun. |

Why did you break “cast on freeze”? Fix it please, it's just unreal to go through the already long maps.
Not only did you just kill CoF, but it's also not working properly. With Comet's base creation speed of 2 seconds, his max energy is 300 energy, instead of 200. How's the math? Okay, you killed the triggers, that's not even the problem. Everyone used triggers because most of the skills in the game are basically not designed to kill monsters, they are designed to impose states and use triggers, but it's impossible to kill someone with them. How am I supposed to clean the map with conditional Freezing Shards if it just doesn't have the base damage to dispel? Either beef up the other damage skills or fix the triggers, please. " The point is not even in the comet, you could try to play with a cold snap, but they killed CoF, while the lighting and fire specs was dead from the release. |

I just respec my build spending a lot into CoF sorceress, and it got nerfed tenfold, without even giving an option to reset, this sounds rather disappointing

" Remember, It's Just Beta. I get the frustration, but keep in mind the game is literally only a week old and still in beta. This phase is all about testing and tweaking, so things will feel unpolished and unbalanced right now. That’s kind of the point of a beta—figuring out what works and what doesn’t based on how we play. If you loved the comet build, explaining why it felt fun or how the changes hurt it could help GGG make adjustments. It’s early days, and there’s a lot of room for improvement. Let’s give it time and keep the feedback coming. |
