" So lowering the time for the first initial hit was definitely a big goal of mine. I measured the number of time from the point I first raise my foot in the skill animation at the highest point, to the time for the totems explosion to at least reach the height of the totem. - With Martial Tempo (more attack speed) the time from foot raise, to totem going off is 0.96 ~ give or take (not 100% precise) - Without Martial Tempo the time is 1.28 I'm not 100% sure just yet, but I think their is two separate durations we have have to balance. The time it takes to construct the totem (Totem Cast Speed?) and the Attacks Per Second listed in the totem speed. That is all to say I believe the time until the first attack is simply the time it takes to construct, followed by waiting a grace period which is 1 attack cycle, e.g.: - (Totem Construct Time) + (Tooltip Attacks Per Second) I think I have Skill Duration figured out already, it doesn't modify the time between attacks. However it can affect how many times the totem attacks before disappearing. It's a tool to optimize the costs of the skill based on how static a fight is. If you put in persistence before a boss fight you can often lay 4 totems and kill the boss before having to refresh a single totem. I really want to understand the mechanics of Skill Speed, Totem Cast Speed and Totem Attack speed and other modifiers. I'll do more extensive testing once I hit maps, should be there soon at cruel act 3 level 61.
" I've updated with my current tree for where my gear / setup is at level 60. Keep in mind builds gives a lot of freedom on gem setup. Increased AOE, Close combat / concentrated effect, added fire + ignite, tons of options. Half the reason I am leveling a little slower is I spend an hour ever 5-10 levels playing around with supports. I currently got access to ancestral totem, and have a ton of ideas for that too. Trying to put off playing with skills anymore until I get to maps, just gonna grind out campaign today / tonight.
" thanks a lot mate. ive been using brutality, inspiration (big mana problems currently), martial tempo and concentrated effect. since i am already struggling with mana i had a feeling i didnt really need a 4th totem for damage and the extra damage gem is compensating for it + its staying longer too. and ye i agree ancestral totem probably makes most sense after |

I wonder if this build can work well on Legionnaire or if warbringer's ascendancy is actually OP for it

" I'm currently trying this build as I got a bit tired of dying to shit I couldn't see under my lightning arrow spam in high level maps. So far so good, liking the build and I'm eager to hear your results as you discover more! Any tips for leveling gear, any uniques that can help other than the mace? I hardly know any of the uniques in PoE 2 yet. Edit: Had a pair of Treefingers (gives Giant's blood) from before, and found a +2 melee mace to wield in the offhand. " The game changer mace in post Hrimnors Hymn is priority 1. I'm still using it at level 62 myself along side a +6 to melee skills 2 handed weapon, it effectively doubles our damage because of aftershocks. It's all about flat physical damage and +to melee skills. I got some unique gloves early on that gave a good bit of flat physical damage, but changed them to rares with +to melee skills as soon as I could. Really the main thing to focus on is +to melee skills. If you get enough of it the damage of the weapon is irrelevant, I destroyed the count dual wielding two 1h maces with +2 or +3 to all melee skills.
" u can go over a node in the passive skill tree and hold shift it shows u all ur equipped skills that are affected by the node. Shockwave Totem is "slam" in that interface |

Martial tempo does not support Totems according ingame tooltip information.

Do you mind showing us ur gear? i'd like to have some reference what i want on my gear. i know its stated in the post but seeing that my dmg was half of what urs was when i was at the start of act 2 cruel difficulty i'd like to compare.
