Totembringer: Campaign to endgame - Huge AOE & 430K+ Boss DPS - (2H + Shield | 2H + 2h)

" Yea I had the same issue, you gotta play piano with flasks at first. When you have 4 sockets you can run lifetap with inspiration. You can also link time of need with Clarity to help with mana some for a while too. Eventually it's not a problem anymore, I'm using lifetap and have no issues at all with life or mana. When I have the passives for it I'll swap to blood magic.
Got to play a good bit this weekend, with deaths causing you to lose your maps I've decided to run the weapon setup below. This is really nice because you have benefits of shield for most of map while you're on shotting the white monsters, then for rares or uniques you can quickly just swap to off hand for triple the damage and delete them in a second or two.
Weapon Set #1 Main Haind: - 2H Mace with +6 to level of all melee skills Off hand: Shield with high life and res Weapon Set #2 Main Haind: - 2H Mace with +6 to level of all melee skills Off Haind: - 2H Mace with +6 to level of all melee skills
Ok guys, after a couple of hours of tests last night, i think that i need some help.
Seems like the Warbringer ascendency (Anvil one, of course) really don't work on my Shockwave totems: no icon debuff on enemy life bars, white/blu/rare or boss. But the debuff icon will show if I make the hit with my "personal" skills like earthquake or boneshatter or just the base mace attack. It's a bug? I have try to remove all the support gems from the totem and even craft a new shockwave totem gem.. but seems to not work for me. Even the buff of Scavenged Plating totally dont work if my shockwave totems hits something.. wtf it's going on? Thanks!! |

" Whats your current tree at? |
|
" Do you know if the damage of the totems snapshots from when they are created or if they update the dps when you swap weapons? |
|
Did you stack a lot of dex in passive tree ? Or not at all?

If the the tooltip dps is to be believed, totems benefit from both rage stacks on themselves and you.
So you can add a significant chunk of damage to totem builds by adding one or two passives that grant rage stacks on hit. More rage on hit just means faster stacking of the damage buff. I haven't come up with a great way to verify this, but it "seemed" to pass the eye test. Would be cool if someone could verify. Last edited by nosrek_avowed#2833 on Dec 16, 2024, 5:16:17 PM

I've played with rage generation for myself and can verify my own rage boosts totem damage, when I have time I'll make another video and measure the attack frames of a low level totem to see if they gain rage on hit. I like the idea of using rage a lot though, thanks for bringing it up.
The main thing with this type of mechanic is that totems aren't out for very long so it would take a decent investment for them to get the rage. I want to experiment some with gain rage when hit by attacks and some other ideas to find a nice way to sustain rage in maps. So far with the low attack speed of all the warrior skills I haven't found a great way to maintain rage while clearing.
" Not much directly, but I've gotten the attributes cluster since a lot of my gear has attributes on it. Have enough for 82 dex/int requirement gear and gems right now. |
