Ascendancy Trials in POE2 make the game completely unbearable and unfun.

Couldn't agree more, absolute disgrace and totally ruined the game. Love everything else. Lab in poe1 was bad enough but whoever made this design decision should get fired, tarred and feathered.

You either need to tone down honor loss by about 50% in these trials, or give us unlimited entry items. I'm not going to grind 20 some hours worth of entry items to grind my way through learning these trials.

So until this is patched I'm done with the game. I have other things in my life that demand my attention more than mindlessly grinding entry items.

Uninstalled this game until they redesign this elitist try hard farmer game. I am done supporting this company until they understand that the MAJORITY of us don't enjoy ruthless or sanctum. Not even Elden ring punishes the way this game does.
Can someone actually answer me this question? Why do we need a secondary Health Bar in the form of Honour?

Like what does that do for fun?
I have enjoyed the leveling and doing t 15 maps as a warrior, but this trials shit is just pisstaking, i am done with the game for now hopefully game will change in the future this rng mechanic in trials are absolute dogshit just to get the points.... whoever made these trials " Your are awesome"
I agree, the current design is bad.
I play a Game to relax and have FUn. Its ok to be difficult..but it has to remain fair.

I agree. i have around 2kh in PoE1 and never counted me to thouse. I just wanna have Fun.
PoE 1 and so far 2 are balanced on layering defenses.

PoE 1 sanctum was stacking evasion/Resists and just instagibbing mobs with Primarily Penance Brand or Hexblast Mines.

99% of the people didn't play sanctum because there were few builds that could even play it, let alone succeed in it.

Then they made it mandatory in 2 with much harder boss mechanics, afflictions, and mobs.

This is literally the only thing about the game that I dislike. I have enjoyed the campaign, the story, the quests, the playstyle, the skills. But I abhor sanctum and being forced to do it to ascend, is pretty ridiculous.

PoE 2 so far seems to be about fighting bosses... why aren't there ascendancy bosses?

Fine, let the first 2 be sanctum/ultimatum, because at level 22 and 30-something, they're completeable.

But at 65+ Why can't I find an ascendancy node in the atlas?

Secondly, my 2nd character before I realized I HAD to do sanctum is a Thorns Warrior. I guess I can' just not ascend on him.
My experience:

- first lab: Easy

- second lab: 3 times unlucky roll, with bubble following me, + towers + whole map physical thing on the ground, or unbearable crit damage. I reached the boss on third try but insta died to tornado (maybe due to perma crit). 4th time made it but then i almost quit the game, for such high waste of time for a horribly marginal power gain from these 2 ascendancy points on my gemling.

- third lab: sanctum, disconnected due to crash, got back in, took damage from trap on third floor once, which made me panic, took more damage, went from 90+% to 10-% and died to random trash mob range attack. Decided to quit and uninstall for even higher waste of my time.
I completely hated Lab's in poe1 because they were so long and boring.

Today i was about to start playing poe2 but first googled poe2 melee state (as i've always played melee since poe beta) and well... stumbled across this thread.

They really decided a mode in which you cant be hit (so if you're melee you're basicaly done) is a great way for ascendancy?

GGG has always hated Melee. They actually had it at a great spot in PoE Beta 0.9 but then broke it in 0.10 and haven't don't anything about it since.
