(Stormweaver) Max projectiles cold converted fireballs. Cheap, easy, powerful, FUN! (T16+ ready)

I'm currently @ 30k fireball dmg and it's insanely powerful.

Holy crap! I was at 13k before I dropped my focus with offensive stats (really amazing find for the focus with no ES that I removed. I got it for 1ex before things went haywire) for a defensive focus as per OP's advice. I now have about 4k mana. It did help me, but I kill a bit slower now. Most likely, if I keep this build variant, it will be a skill based issue.

Two things I know I can improve on:

Using WASD instead of mouse to ensure I am constantly moving. I have never really played a game with WASD. So, it feels really uncomfortable for me. Thinking of starting an alt with only WASD to get used to it.

Secondly, using techniques like you suggested like incorporating range, noticing beforehand when there is a "siphons mana" mob. It's much more difficult in a party for me.

One difference with my gear is that my wand is "+ to fire skills" and not all skills for affordability. So I use ember fuse like OP suggested, which gets up to about 35k dps. I have trouble aiming it sometimes, but generally like it quite a bit for burst damage.

Not really sure how I could up my ehp without a ton of wealth at this point.

How are you able to get to 13k fireball? my fireball is level 21, only at 2k, following OP exact build

Things that will improve your fireball damage:

-Cast speed
-Spell damage
-Elemental damage
-Cold damage
-Intelligence (if playing EB version)
-Mana (if playing EB version)
-Energy Shield (if playing EB version)

Generally in that order. I noticed cold damage doesn't give us as much DMG as something like spell or elemental %, so prio those on gear/skill tree. Cast speed is a great increase as well and it also makes the build feel SO much cleaner to play when you're casting 2-3 FB per second. Makes clearing so nice.

This build has a pretty needy skill tree if you want bigger DPS. I'd say it starts to feel real good at around 70-80, but work on said affixes/nodes above to get more damage.

So it's down to 9.9k with all the gear switching in the past day, but I believe this is mostly due to High's build focusing on damage nodes more than the original build instead of more projectiles, ES nodes, etc.

However, like High pointed out, it's mostly overkill and not the sheet dps is not where the build's kill potential really comes from.

I did discover a cool, practical change that helps me defensively... using a controller. I have a lot of trouble getting used to WASD (I know, I'm the minority with this), but the controller works amazingly well with this build. I realized I was unconsciously avoiding certain skills before the control, skills like ember fuse will auto track enemies better. The haptic feedback on the controller alerts me to danger more effectively than just watching my mana. A lot of positives (but I hate using it for inventory management vs a keyboard mouse).

Anyway, if anyone is on the fence and is taking awhile getting used to WASD as well like me, hope this helps.
I also barely have 2k dps with fireball in the gem sheet, are you guys using the damage displayed when you damage monster or the dps displayed in the gem page ? because that would explain the dps difference.

Can someone post their dps info for fireball (gem page) ?
So, again, my dps is higher, but my survivability is lower. Even with my previous post, I'm still having trouble dying to random stuff. It's a tradeoff.

I'm thinking of going back to the regular build as I a having trouble reaching the next level at this point. I wouldn't worry too much about your sheet dps so long as things are dying and you can survive.
Considering the bulk of our damage comes from overlapping fireballs combined with Ice Walls, I'd say the sheet damage is borderline useless.

Although, yes, higher sheet damage is still higher damage.

Seems like another plus for the general build though, very flexible to tweak to your own playstyle preferences.
Guys is it a good idea to use CI without MOM?

Im currently sitting at 4k es and 1.7k mana. Not running archmage.

Has anyone experimented with wearing a Ghostwrithe unique? I just saw a a video saying how much ehp it adds (with or without EB or CI). I might try it tonight. Apparently it works differently than POE1, meaning we get ES back even with 1 health or Eldritch battery. We could allocate ES nodes to boost the ES from ghostwraith, possibly giving us enough ehp to survive 4-5k one hits in high level maps. I’m not sure though.
So far so good, great t15+ clear, permafreezing everything around, got 3255 mana, with 70 recoup and 600 ~ regen. Cleared breach on r1, found only bronze citadel but was pretty easy. Killed trialmaster, fight was easy, only issue he's a bulky HP sponge at least for this build. Killed first ritual boss also with ease. Dying happens, but rarely now.

ED: adding also atlas tree just to show it was done:

Weapon could be better but i'd stick with it i guess.
Will it kill r4 bosses? Doubt it, but as r1 and t15-18 mapper he is decent. Started it and farmed everything i have with it.
