" If you have the .mp3 files, you can use custom cosmetic filters. - Place the .mp3 file in the Game's filter directory. - Select the appropriate currency type, click 'Sound', and in the custom text field, enter the name of the .mp3 file. Deployed a new version:
- Improved the look & feel of the color picker - The color picker & label example now use an actual in-game background - Added Skill Gems as an item type (this was actually a challenge, they're probably the only item which doesn't have a Class in the game) - Added more options for the 'Highlight Uniques' and 'Highlight Chance Bases' quick filters - Added a warning message about the 'Continue' functionality " Quelle maj? Je vois rien? :o Author of http://poe2filter.com/ - A Path of Exile 2 Custom Filter Generation Website

" Just a quick anecdote about base types in PoE2, it is usually the three final base types that are the best ones, to my knowledge, and not only the last one. And which of them is the best depends on the build itself. The third best item with drop level of 65 commonly has the highest base defense value of the base types, while the ones with drop level of 70 and 75 have something different going on for them. That is different compared to PoE1, as there the final basetypes have small, marginal increases to their defense values. But just in case if you change your mind and start filtering items out with Drop Levels, you should probably stop at 65 for gear pieces. :) Last edited by Celd#2630 on Jan 7, 2025, 1:11:32 PM

" You might want to save our filters anyway for analytics and such. Data is precious. " You are getting into FilterBlade/NeverSink territory now. Not saying it's bad, but I liked that your site is more of a vanilla editor that could be in the main game rather than a tool that provides economic recommendations. " Rares are +1 in poe2, not sure about magic, may be 0. To add something positive to this post pile of unwanted advice big thanks for item level filter! |

" You are right, the lowest was L79 I had in a 79 map (T15) and it scales, T16 80, 17 81 aso. And yes being able to filter by Tier level would be the best but because we cannot do this, I must go with item level. My main source of income atm is running citadels and as many T16+ maps in between as possible with breaches and bosses, picking up mainly currency, splinters and only the very most valuable gear. My staff is as good as it gets for a level 80 item (cost me 4 divs), if I want to improve it is has to be from a higher level. Either I find it or I find a L82+ Tier 5 item which I can turn into lots of money. Sure I might miss some good loot in between but I also do not want to have to port 3 times back per map to drop everything in my drop stash and later have to sort through a myriad of L80 items for the off-chance that one in 200 might be worth 2-3 divs. For now I'm just ignoring what lies around that's not colored by my custom cosmetic rules but it's dangerous, I had a 80 Tier 3 drop and my greedy brain tried to pick it up several times in between monsters - and died. That's why I rather do not want to see those items at all. In short, I only want to see the yellow crossbow (L82) in this picture but not the white one (L81): I'm sure there are other who'd like to filter by item level and if one does not want to filter by that, one does not have to. That's the beauty of your filter, it has the potential to satisfy everyones needs ;) One other suggestion regarding Skill Gems. It would be great if we could set different levels for Skill- or Spirit Gems. I have tons of 18 Skill gems but not so many Spirit gems, which is why atm I filter for level >= 18. But 9 out of 10 are skill gems, not spirit. Is this at all possible? If yes, it be awesome if you could implement this. I hope I come not across as a nagging oncle just requesting stuff :D I've been testing your filter heavily the past few days and just post what comes up during mapping. If you're against an idea like the item level I'm totally okay with it, I can edit the file myself directly. It's an awesome tool you've created and I hope you continue to support it as long as poe2 is around. Btw, seeing you mentioning that you want to back the tool with a DB - should you ever need help with that, feel free to pm me ;) Last edited by LaraGothica#5242 on Jan 7, 2025, 3:12:27 PM

" Hm, I've been using those tiers from the very start though, they're certainly an integral part of the philosophy (also mentioned in the philosophy section from day 1). To my knowledge I think I was probably even the first to actually (manually!) look up all the exalt values of all currencies on the in-game exchange, and divide all currency in tiers based on that. After this initial listing, I only updated it once manually (didn't seem to be changing a lot, and I knew that at some point I would automate it). What's changed since yesterday is that a) now I can 'download' actual market values instead of having to get them manually from the ingame exchange (although the quality is unfortunately not very high -- I'm talking to poe2scout's author to hopefully improve it) and b) it's all better structured in my code now, so I can e.g. generate the filter code, using the same data sources as I use for the Drop Tier List, etc. This has always been the goal from the start -- I had just not gotten around to implementing it this way; focussed on other priorities first, felt like the inital manual stuff was 'good enough' for a while :). " That's definitely still the goal, yes! However, I think de facto you'll always need tiers; to give different 'highlights' (beam & minimap colors) to better currency; so also in-game, it would need this kind of ranking/tiering system. (GGG uses it on their trade site too, by the way, as it uses implicit exchange rates between currencies). Doesn't have to be so visible/explicit, of course, but hey, if I have the data anyway, it was a small step to show it too :D Author of http://poe2filter.com/ - A Path of Exile 2 Custom Filter Generation Website

" Wow, you have a weapon with only the highest tier of all the relevant affixes, and the only way to improve is unlocking even higher possible affix tiers, which only drop from iLvl 81 and 82? Dayum! :D Now I finally understand why in your case, this does make sense. Will definitely have a look at it asap. " Good point, when I implemented that dynamic skill gem system I already doubted whether I should have separate tiers for skill & spirit gems; it was a trade-off between usefulness and space/crowding. But you're right that they're much rarer. Will change, thanks for letting me know. " No no, all feedback is definitely super welcome, and yours are definitely good suggestions, and I'm learning, you're not nagging at all! As I've never been a top PoE 1 player either, I'm not aware of how the top players play and what they'd need. (maybe if I spent my time playing the game instead of working on the filter, I'd know xD) I'm honored that such good players (can) use the tool too, really awesome :D " Hm, thanks a lot of the offer, again I'm honored :) But for now I think I manage, will let you know if I get swamped :) What I *do* already need help with however, is spreading the word about the filter ^^ Can't really do that myself; people hate self-promoting, almost as much as I hate selling :p Author of http://poe2filter.com/ - A Path of Exile 2 Custom Filter Generation Website Last edited by BlackDeathBE#0559 on Jan 7, 2025, 4:22:34 PM

" Yes, you are right. I just dislike the market and don't want to let it decide that I no longer need to see vaal orbs when I update filter. Of course, I can still control it through custom rules, and that together with keeping original game style by default is what makes your filter great for me. Other features make it great for others. " As you mentioned it, their constant rates make ordering way off showing divines before exalts. Now I agree that dynamic rates may be better. |

" Yea I understand. The direction I'm moving into is that you can have multiple Presets (or whatever I'll call it) of Drop Tier Lists -- probably at least one for SSF and one for Trade league. And of course the ability to drag any currency to any tier you want; and apply a tier to any item using the Quick Filters (instead of a 'highlight' now).
