Unique items feel very bad.

Like the title states the unique items in PoE2 feel very bad in my opinion.

We all know that unique items in PoE1 are roughly divided in these categories:
Leveling uniques (i.e. Goldrim)
Niche/build-enabling uniques (i.e. Facebreaker)
Powerful chase uniques (i.e. Mageblood)
Ok uniques that you can use until you get a better rare (i.e. Atziri's Disfavour)
Unusable Items (i.e. Veil of the Night)

However from what i've seen so far and carefully reading the lists of known uniques in the game so far a VERY large amount of the unique items in PoE2 fall under the "Unusable items" category and most items won't see a use... ever... but for me the worst part is the severe lack of build-enabling uniques so far.

Agreed, would like to see more build-enabling uniques added to the game that can transform different skills in a unique way.
pay for and design one. u can have any unique u want. the game is not even out yet and people and the devs have to create them literally from scratch.
Agreed.

I have 80ish hours in POE 2 and haven't seen a unique I was interested in. Maybe the armour shield with high block for leveling? And wanderlust? Nothing build enabling though.

In POE1 very early on we had a slew of very fun uniques. It seems like the fun police have decided to stop by and gatekeep anything potentially broken. Isn't EA the time to try all the broken and stupid ideas?
Agree, most uniques I've seen are just not good. E.G a staff that casts spark on killing a shocked enemy, forgot the name, wants you to use a low AoE lightning bolt but the dps is not really up to par with other lightning spells and it does not combine well with tempest so you either use some convoluted way (or ignore the staff skills) to trigger shock and kill shocked enemies or use different weapons entirely with similar statrolls but +level to lightning spells etc.
All for a spark on kill which is lackluster considering lightning is already great at packs, and less vs single target, so the unique looks cool but is ultimately useless. Could have been stuff like trigger a spark on shock, or have a unique better lightning bolt that has very high shock chance and what not.

Uniques should always be useful and good.

Would love to, unfortunately not all of us live in the West and I simply can't afford it.

As for creating items from scratch, I'm not sure that I agree. There are plenty of interesting uniques that can be translated from PoE1 to PoE2, sure it might be just the case of them not making it in the game YET, but the fact that the VAST majority of uniques that are currently in the game are simply unusable and adding better/more interesting uniques won't make those bad ones better, they will remain something that you never even pick up.

i agree with your point but a lot of boots can be turned into the usable category by adding ms

the bigger problem is the chaase items for example temporalis is failure in game design the mos important stat line is 4 sec cooldown reduction so elemental expression and elemental storm as well as life remnants and blink become super op

now it good that some items are op but the problem is that GGG is balancing the uniques around specific interactions that when all the stars align and people solve the game and find then the trash item is op

Agreed. The right side of the tree has quite a few MS nodes, where maybe you have just enough mobility between skills and tree that you wouldn't but that alienates the majority of other characters.

Absolutely, 100%, yes! When I saw that thing the first thing that came into mind was "Enigma". It will only be worse if they end up balancing cooldowns around the existence of this belt like they did with HH and MB in PoE1. It feels like a recipe for disaster.

Edit: if the stats were just some attributes and some cooldown, then maybe it can exist? In its current iteration it is very rewarding with next to no trade-offs. Not to mention once you get the chest, doing no hit Trials will be a non-issue, they will practically farm themselves.

On a side note, wanderlusts require like level 11 or 12, instead of being useable at level 1. Very annoying.
Oh and there is another thing i wanted to mention.

In PoE2 pretty much the only source of Elemental Resistances is gear, so the drawback of a unique item with low/no/negative resistances is much greater than in PoE1 where resistances can be easily fixed with your passive tree, jewels and auras.
