POE2 Shutdown of my PC: A fix
I acutally managed to fix a lot of problems with this:
Don't use the steam version, instead create a PoE account, link the account and ur steam account together and download the PoE standalone version from the official site. The whole game runs waaaaay smoother and no crash yet with the standalone. |

Hey guys, maybe i found a solution
i disable the cpu core 0 and 1, my game stop shutting down my pc. This cost some of my fps, but at least my pc dont shut down anymore. If you dont know how, is easy: go in task manager > details > pathofexile.exe > right click and chose affinity > disable cpu 0 and 1. I start use the standalone client too, my game are now way more smooth. Hopefully this work for you guys too. |

Also been experiencing entire p/c shutting down without anything else no blue screen or freezing before or after. Tried everything in the post still happens even with playing on the lowest settings possible including resolution. I thought my pc was just trash but idk now.

Same here pc just straight up shuts off completely no error messages or anything when i power it back on
it happened twice yesterday in lost city in act 2, and to day as well in cruel. Windows 11, version 23H2 AMD Ryzen 9 7900X MSI B650 Gaming DDR5 5600MHz 16GB RX 7600 XT 850x power supply Edit: added 2 more ram sticks and got a new psu: Corsair RMe Series RM1000e PSU went to lost city where i know i could reproduce the issue and so far so good. Also didn't have XMP/EXPO enabled on my old ram sticks so got less speeds that i was supposed to. Still happens when there is allot of monsters and burning effects on screen in maps. So frustrated at this point Edit: Ok so ive spent allot of time teaching my self about undervolting and after undervolting both my cpu and gpu the game runs abit better not a huge gain but every bit helps and my system runs cooler and does not shut off. (so far Anny ways) Last edited by Voliria#4798 on Jan 22, 2025, 12:17:41 PM

Wanted to chime in again that I haven’t had the full system restart since I did all the things I posted about. Maybe people with better knowledge of the inner workings can sus out which one had an impact and it could maybe help others.
I will say that crashes to desktop still happen occasionally and other issues that are most likely caused by early access optimization issues. |

A similar problem.
The computer turns off without errors, as if there is a power surge, although the power supply is supplied with a reserve. I tried all the settings in the game, rolled back the drivers, nothing helped. There was nothing like this in other games. Windows 10 AMD Radeon RX 7600 AMD Ryzen 5 5600 SYYL B550M DDR4 memory 3200 MHz 32 GB 650 power supply unit |

It's actually fucked up that this is still a thing. Imagine a game frying your PC. I'd rather have a trojan. Definitely not logging in. Idek if I can trust a "fix" at this point.
