POE2 Shutdown of my PC: A fix

Same problem here. I played through acts 1-3 twice with no problem. Started mapping and experienced PC shutdown with no warning. Temps are ok, fps ok, and suddenly the PC is off. It is annoying and makes me worry if it is safe to play without a fix.

I’ve had the same problem on my PC with 9800x3D with RTX4090 and a platinum 1600 PSU. My buddy told me about issue with his XBOX handling the graphics. He read to turn off a bunch of things on the Xbox, including “SCREEN SHAKE.”

I noticed when my pc shuts down it was at high action times. So I thought to myself, maybe the Screen Shake was the issue. So I turned it off…

I played for a few hours yesterday, and no crashes. Try it out and see if it works for you all.

I’m thinking that it causes spikes when it’s the most intense parts of the game, thus overloading at times?

I am not even playing for weeks anymore.

This is such a bs. And can totally make problems to your hardware.

Btw it is not related to your PSU. Mine is 1200. And it still crashes same like for everyone else.

Played for hours today and the game didn’t crash at all. So it looks like Screen Shake could be the issue in my case.

I stopped playing my deadeye and startet a new char. invoker.... nothing happened while doing the campain, then.. 3rd map.. pc shutdown, there wasn't even a lot happening on the screen.

Rebooting the PC takes off the joy and also raises the concerns of hurting the hardware...

let's be patient and hopeful.

After Patch still the same type of crashes. :(

I am experiencing the same type of crash -- PC suddenly shuts down and has to be manually turned off/on. It is not limited to only loading screens, nor am I using Windows 11. It has been happening more in maps than in the campaign.

Specs:
Windows 10
GeForce RTX 270 Super
Ryzen 3700x 3.6ghz
16 gig ram

I have no issues playing other games of similar graphics; the issue is due to PoE2.
