Why cant we get a proper self found with higher drop rates?

Dont allow self found to go back to regular league and adjust drop quality to adjust for the fact its self found...
why is there still no such mod in POE 1 or POE 2...

Because a SSF league character can be transferred to the trade league mid season. SSF higher drop rates would break trade. In order for SSF to get higher drop rates SSF and trade would have to be non transferable during leagues. I do no know why GGG does not do this as Last Epoch has paved a way forward for this issue.
Just a speculative opinion, but I think the concern devs might have is that once SSF loot drops are buffed - then there's pretty much no point playing non-SSF if you are not into active trading, and this will eventually entirely transfer the game into single-player mode.

Just ask yourself - would you bother playing regular mode, if SSF was much more rewarding in terms of drop rates, which would enable you to significantly faster and easier build your character and progress through the game on your own? I think, the answer is obvious for large amount of playerbase.

I think the current design concept behind SSF is to simply provide players an option to beat the game without external assistance 'as is', and it is not about empowering solo gameplay. It is more like a challenge mode into which you can enrol with an option to drop-out quickly if you don't like it anymore.

Powerful and completely isolated SSF mode is effectively an 'Offline' mode, then there's also no point having a constant internet connection when playing.
Nope, Diablo 4 is free to play, try that maybe :)
Step 1 is to self reflect.
Because GGG, and the veteran POE players are clinging to the idea of a economy in this game being a good idea.

Man, I sure do love trading in this game, crafting items. Instead of just playing and getting good loot to begin with. Amazing.

The moment you mention anything about making loot better, you'll get people coming in and saying but muh economy.

The people that don't trade already don't trade, regardless of them being in standard or SSF. There is no fundamental difference at that point. The people that trade will continue to trade. The people that only trade rarely when they want the help or want the crafting currencies will trade rarely. The people that don't trade will continue to not trade. All us SSF'ers want is a mode that let's us not feel punished for avoiding trade, because as soon as you can start throwing around a couple hundred ex to trade with, maybe a divine or two, and you can just deck yourself out with gear that will wipe the floor with T16 right as you're entering mapping. The dedicated SSF crowd (or, perhaps more accurately, anti-trade crowd) already do not engage in the economy whatsoever and have no reason to ever switch to trade league.

Fuckers gave us Ruthless to fill a grindcore masochist niche, why can't we get a "I hate trading but also don't feel like grinding 100 hours for one upgrade" mode to fill that niche? SSF as it stands is the stupidest non-thing ever. I don't even bother setting SSF because I flat out do not trade. I just want enough crafting currency to drop that I can self sustain.
OP is right

I fully believe the economy, trading/crafting/currency negatively impacts the over-all game. The entire game should be able to be beat within a reasonable time frame, just off items that drop for you.

Everything done in this game is based around the economy, rather than player enjoyment. It's maddening. I'm sick of builds being nerfed because, oh no it might give someone more currency! I'm sick of being forced to trade to progress, or waste hundreds of hours grinding items and crafting. I don't think any of it adds value to this game anymore. It heavily impacts the feel of this game in terms of loot too. Where people are more excited to get currency, than an item drop. And they spend so much time not playing, looking for items or crafting them.

Solution: Make SSF items/currency account bound or a wilder idea, disable transfer. Problem solved for people who don't wanna be involved with Standard League, such as myself.
