Why cant we get a proper self found with higher drop rates?

Works pretty good for Last Epoch. Same servers but you choose one of two factions. The trade faction let's you trade, the other faction boosts your drop rates.

There is no way to make a good economy here. Even if they did, it would last a day before bots broke it again.

I don't know how people get any satisfaction from buying an item anyway.

Just a speculative opinion, but I think the concern devs might have is that once SSF loot drops are buffed - then there's pretty much no point playing non-SSF if you are not into active trading, and this will eventually entirely transfer the game into single-player mode.


Just ask yourself - would you bother playing regular mode, if SSF was much more rewarding in terms of drop rates, which would enable you to significantly faster and easier build your character and progress through the game on your own? I think, the answer is obvious for large amount of playerbase.


I think the current design concept behind SSF is to simply provide players an option to beat the game without external assistance 'as is', and it is not about empowering solo gameplay. It is more like a challenge mode into which you can enrol with an option to drop-out quickly if you don't like it anymore.


Powerful and completely isolated SSF mode is effectively an 'Offline' mode, then there's also no point having a constant internet connection when playing.

I fail to understand your point.

This is exactly what many players want, they don't want trade, it ruins the experience for them.

ARPG's are at their best when you find that magical item that you can use yourself or give to a close friend. Trade breaks all the greatest points of fun, unless heavily regulated, which they have yet to impose and I will believe it when I see it.
I would love to play SSF with increased drop chances and disabled transfer. But I’m afraid it is my dream that will never come true in this game. But I still sure hope.

I'd absolutely love this, I really loved Last Epoch for implementing their solo and trade factions because I do think both have their place.

I think I've only ever bought a single item in PoE1 because I couldn't get it to drop for myself but beyond that, I personally hate trading for personal reasons—I don't mind the concept and people who enjoy it, in fact I enjoy the aspect of it existing—but as someone who not only refuses to partake because it defeats the fun and purpose of me playing the game in the first place, and also because I have severe anxiety when it comes to interacting with player-driven online markets (I'm very silly, I am aware), Path of Exile does manage to make the solo play feel awful at times.

Though I really love Last Epoch, there's just something about the wild and crazy build diversity and theorycrafting possible within Path of Exile that pulls me back every time, so I do wish I had a better way of achieving my build goals before I burn out due to never getting good RNG with the loot I get.

sadly this will never happen since GGG love to make their players suffer i just want an SSF where i can self sustain with slightly higher drop rate and enjoy the game while buying all the MTX and supporter packs.
SSF no transfer will be a welcome feature, not holding me breathe waiting for it though, literal shinu 🤣😂😆
Would SSF buff actually break trade anyway? I'm not convinced it would come close to the optimisation properly active traders can achieve in farming. And that's assuming people actually switched. Maybe league start, but then just have a two week no transfer window or something.

I mean I guess it would depend on what exactly was buffed, but we're probably orders of magnitude off in power scaling vs time at the moment. No-one wants easy ssf after all, just not relentless grind and only having Alva the slot machine for bloody ages.

Play trade if you don’t want ssfs challenge
We don't need better drop rates in ssf, what would be nice is when they add nice mechanics for ssf they only nerf them in trade league when they cause a problem in trade league and leave them powerful in ssf.
