Please remove Corpse Explosions from Poe2

2.5k armor? That's a t-shirt and boxer shorts my dude. That's a swimsuit. That's a $3 foam surfboard as a shield.

I can get that on a single chest armor with zero investment into the tree...and you want 2.5k armor to save you from AN EXPLOSION?

I need to go lay down, I'm obviously far too old for this.


That is the Point why does a random corpse explosion so massivly mutch physical damage that all characters whitout 20k armor or 10 k es just die in one hit. its not a boss slam its a random thing out of nowere you cant react to. at least in poe 1 it was fire damage so you take only 1/4 of its damage now you just take 90-100% of it because armor isnt an option for 5 out of the 6 classes.


Is anyone scaling armour in this game on any class? A Cloak of Flame is better than half your points spent in to armour while also being ES so it actually has a working defensive stat on it along with some fire resistance.

Died 2 times in a row to random corpses exploding into my face triggered by random white mobs poorly visible ( the detonation build up were the corpse turns red an grows) because of the beutiful graphic and some grass that was growing above the corpse.

solution 1: reduce the targeting range from the Mobs so they cant explode corpses unless they are near them ( like the rare modifyer)

Solution 2: significantly reduce the base damage / remove the scaling with corpse hp

After several attempts lately I realized that any problem is solved if I use Spark Lightning build.
And I also understood why people hate this build: everything is simpler and safer.

Obviously it is also unbalanced compared to other classes, especially the melee classes.

In an interview I clearly remember that they said that it was practically better to play the melee classes more than the ranged classes but perhaps they were confused with another game.

Playing a ranged build here, with obviously off-screen abilities, is almost like playing Diablo IV.
It's not a problem if the attack is easy to see. However, the DoT that appears in the early stages of the game is difficult to notice because it is a dirty blood-like color that blends in with the dark background of the enemy. I would like a setting that allows I to display the outline of the enemy and the DoT range.
I'm level 92 and this mechanic has me wanting to rage quit.
Nothing 1 shots me except corpse explosion from rares with no warning or mechanic to show the corpse is going to explode.

The fun police will most likely leave this in :(
if that gets removed then the witch's skill would also be removed too..

If I could change only one thing in endgame it would be removing corpse explosions.

Like 90% of my deaths are exploding corpses (1 shots ofc), in most cases off screens. With new visuals you just can't see this (behind grass, walls, similar to ground, etc.).
Delay of this skill is so short (0.5s?) that even if you manage to spot monster with corpse explosion you're already dead. Defending against it, as said before is almost impossible.
Agreed remove or make then Diablo 3 levels of clear! No other game has done this correctly EVER! Not sure why its not that difficult to make these things visually clear; D3 figured this out bout 2 decades ago we're still unable to see them

Corps Exlpo. made me rage quit the game a view times already.
My lvl 93 Warrior is almost immortal, exept to corps explosions. this time even my omen didn´t even got used, my 4k hp with 400 es just popped... Monster lvl was 80 and i had a chilled breach map with no bad dmg affixes. But one of the Breach Bird Elites decided to blow up serveral copses near me in a giant mob of Monsters and my Hp went down so fast, that even the omen didn´t knew what happened. This definetly needs a fix. I can´t play anymore untill sth. is done with this broken explos.

There is just no way to doge it, if u hear the first explosion u know its ur end. Run..... bb EXP >.<
I ain't dying to rare's corpse explosions... but there is something killing me.. got no clue what it is though... I am running over 1-2 normal mobs corpses with my 4.2k manaa and 4k ES!!!! I am immune to chaos(chaos innoculation-I assume to poison too since that is supposed to be chaos as well from what I understood), I got a jewel making me immune to corrupted blood(altough I didn't find any reference to it anywhere else, I thought this was dropped on poe 2 until recently) I also got a freeze, shock and bleed charm! 76% elemental resistances and only about 10% armour... WHAT IS IT THAT IT'S KILLING ME WITH 8.2K EFFECTIVE HEALTH, BECAUSE I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!

Forgot to add I also got Mind over matter and about 900 mana regen...

Explodes nearby corpses absolutely needs to be removed or nerfed into the ground. I don't even want to play anymore because in the 10 maps it takes me to get 10% of my level, I'm almost 100% guaranteed to have an "Explodes Nearby Corpses" rare mob spawn on me through a breach or delirium.
