I'm confused as to why people enjoy the moment to moment gameplay of this game

you dont NEED too much reason to like/dislike something.

if you like it, you like it. if you dont like it, you dont. dont need to overcomplicate.

different people like different things.

for instance, if anyone likes that boss in the apex of filth, for whatever reason. good on you. its not what i like but i m glad she exists for your sake.

It doesn't have replay ability for me. Gonna pass on any league and call it at early access. Gated by an economy that will be .01% and a crummy crafting system that gives you .01% to catch up....nah son!

I'm in the same boat, they promised a lot of changes from PoE1 but I feel like it's mostly copy paste.

Early access of course so I will keep an eye out, but my enjoyment after 135 hours has diminished with the once again chaotic marketplace and the lack of self sustainability.

Bosses are great but few and far in-between, rare monsters are only challenging in campaign and are, if nothing else, annoying endgame. Not challenging, annoying. And maps is mostly fun but doing t15s a while now and it's just rinse and repeat.

I can not understand the core player base who can keep playing this year after year.
Kudos to them but my mind requires more to stay interested.

There are a lot of changes from PoE1. Except for the graphics every single change they made, made the game feel worse than PoE1. It looks like the game is too much PoE1 for the newcomers and not enough PoE1 for the long timers.

They took the money us PoE1 players threw at them over the years. They first pretended to invest it on the game we play and then created this monstrosity. Since it is now clear that they don't respect their long time community, there is 0% chance I ever throw money at GGG again.

Another company who spits in their customers face.

People like it because it's a new game not because it's good. I've tried out most of the archetypes in PoE 2 and they all felt worse than PoE 1 with the exception of monk "melee" that felt very enjoyable to play.

Monk was one of the boring classes to play. I have been enjoying sorc and Witch

Okay....... What was your point exactly? There is a reason why Poe1 is still going to be live lol. PoE2 is meant to be something different with some similarities lol.

Sorry they didnt just remake PoE1 (which is what you sound like your complaining about they didnt do) with better graphics

When I was a child I wished to be a game designer but I'm happy that I didn't seeing how hard it is to satisfy all kinds of people.

Yes once you sort your defense most parts of the game become quite easy. Which is why higher tier maps has a lot of negative effects on you and buffs on mobs which you said that you're ignoring some...

So game is actually easy if build your character and stay in your comfort zone.

Now get some monster attack speed, resistance penetration, critical hit chance, +projectile numbers etc. and try that map.

All difficulty is artificial in a way.

I'm not saying game is perfect. This is my first ever Poe game. However even the hardcore players say when maps juiced in certain ways anything has the possibility of one shooting you.

Also you can play mace character if you want a bit more challenge. It's not always required but even if the mobs are easy, you at least need to make sure you'll not trap yourself in some corner. Any area can become a death trap if certain mob types joins the fight.

5 years ago they DID announce just an update to PoE1. When they changed it to be a different game they kept pretending for years it would be PoE1 but better. Now we know they lied just to keep us throwing money at them.

I went back to PoE1, but man, is it hard to play on 2010's graphics when you know the other game looks so good.

They tried to pull in a different audience (that will leave before release) and ignored their fan base. PoE2 has no replay value for most except no lifers It was a stupid move that will bring their income down long term.
i dont know for maps but in the campaign most bosses are too slow.
they probably thought, that they re gonna reuse bosses in map and in maps, bosses can have increased attack/cast speed. so they HAVE to slow them in the campaign making most of them big slow bosses with big meme attacks. like just go behind them and attack.

just did the one boss act 3 with my warrior reroll that leads to the dorayni elevator before the time travel and it s a perfect example.

ps : when i say they have to, i meant, they think they have to. they could perfectly lower the map unique attack/Cast speed mods or even remove them. or maybe bosses would be doable with very high attack/cast speed who knows. but the current solution is terrible.

btw in poe 1 the state of endgame map bosses is even worse. for some reason they decided that the only mobs with at least 1 or 2 custom move should be complete pushovers for some wierd design reasons.

Key words "5 years ago". Everything else is your irrelevant opinion. People prophesies imminent demise of PoE1 for 12 years already. If pleyer numbers will get below accepteble level GGG will make adjustments. Not every game must be to your liking you know. They also didnt pretend anything. There were gameplays shown on videos, there was even playable demo on last exilecon, on top of that devs said multiple times that the game will be harder and different. Stop pretending like you didnt know.

How salty did you have to get before you made a new account called "backtopoe1"? Lol. Well enjoy your time back in poe1 I guess, or rather seething on the forums and probably Reddit continuously, which is I guess what poe1 players actually do.
