it would be much easier and faster for bots. on top the chance of making a good deal would be gone because everything thats unterpriced would be instantly bought. thats especially bad for new players that cant value their items properly. right now they list something to cheap, getting 20 whispers and thinking "oh damn, thats a good item, i relist it for 5 divine instead of 5 exalts". with automation, 1 of the 5000 livesearch bots would have instantly bought it, the new player would not even notice the mistake and not learn anything about item value.
I get what you're saying, but that's where good coding comes in to not allow hooks for bots and simple overlay clickers to work properly. Even something as simple as changing up the font color randomly can make most of them useless. If GGG has anyone on their staff that's been coding for more than a couple years they would know this.

that 1 exalt trade becoming less and less successful thats true. personally i dont list anything below 3 exalts atm, changing to 5 soon. because i simply dont want to leave maps constantly for 1 or 2 orbs. the loss in time isnt worth anymore. people should overthink their listings and if they dont want to trade for 1 exalt, stop listings things for 1 exalt.
That's actually one of the reasons that I'd like some (?) additional automation. This way we hopefully have a wider and deeper economy which benefits many people across various levels of progression.
Of course, eventually, you won't want to even bother with 1 EX dump tabs and that makes perfect sense. However if you don't mind shoving something in a dump tab that would improve my character then I'd be happy to have you still in the lower end of the economy.
Still if you would have 3 EX, 5 EX, or 10 EX dump tabs that still helps plenty of people. After all even a bad [and casual] build like mine can farm up 10 EX without serious difficulties -- just takes time.
i still have my 3ex tab ;) but in fact, if the stuff isnt sold in 24 hours its going to the vendor. there is so many good and cheap gear on trade, nobody has to run shitty gear or needs 20 divine to run t15s

It's some fan fiction. It's impossible.

See you are unwittingly part of the problem with cost creep being at a dead sprint right now and exactly why we need an AH where items are stored and prices are maintained.
Making it cost currency to list items would keep the ridiculous costs down and allow players to actually find items they can buy for 1 EX or less instead of people vendoring them like you do.
And you're not alone, trust me.

You're joking, right?
Here, logic check:
How is it WOW is able to stop the bots? By making their own trading interface with literally everything you'd want to do in a bot/third party sniping website.
Only it's by their rules....
That's how you run a proper AH.

The role the trade website fills could be completely replaced by better loot drops and deterministic crafting.
Honestly I wouldn't mind banning anything less than a T6 mod on an item level 80+ gear that is at the "expert" tier UNLESS the max mod level is less than T6 [+1 all skill on an ammy for example??]
I also wouldn't mind a higher level of determinism when it comes to crafting as I feel like it's not worth the time investment to craft at the basic or even intermediate level UNLESS you've already got something that dropped awesome to start with and you're just looking to improve it.
Still I don't mind some randomness. For example I wouldn't want to go full-on "SmartLoot ++" for example or using the crafting bench to exclusively craft Best-in-slot gear.

i think youre on the wrong horse here. the longer the game runs, the cheaper good items are getting. i dont talk about high end, but good items.
and if you make it cost currency to list items, people would 100% stop listing cheap things instead of listing more of them. why would i list items for 1 exalt if i had to pay extra fee for listing it? i dont see the problem generally. yes good items cost now 5 exalts instead of 2 exalts. whats the problem? everybody and his mum drops exalts.
