It's exactly the same thing here, you are losing bonus content. Nodes have no league content as a baseline. Bonus content is added, if you fail you lose the bonus.
What a fail.

Realy? maps are empty without league content.
In la you loose - bonus from map. Which are meh. And bonus stability, which kinda usefull while you diving into monoliths, but after - meh.
In poe2 - league mechs, bonuses from towers, which ARE very important. Also, 1 try for bosses. But yeah, same things.
Lol i genuinely thought they would double down on death penalty.

Would be epic if they announced that players will get a debuff, Exile’s Demise: that reduces action speed, all resists, and xp gained by 10%, for the full duration it takes you to regain back your initial lost experience %.
