Economy is such as trash now

I'm playing on Standar ( London ) EU server and as for now if i want to use the currency exchange i need 300ex for 1div. I dont mind work hard to get new and better gear but as for a new player to this kinda game, it kills the joy for me.

I was planing to invest and buy the biggest expansion or DLC for poe2 but for now i dont know anymore. I know its EA and chaos needs to happend before there is order but i could just RMT, there is not penalty to it. GGG says there is but i dont see any ban hammer happend to streamers doing it.

If the state of the game doesn't suit you (which I can understand), you can come back in 6 months or 3 years without having to pay a cent.

See you soon (or not) then !

It took me almost all my available hours to keep up even a little bit, and after just a 3 days break this week the value of an ex got cut in half. What the f....

Pretty much THE reason why i don't play the game as much as i was for the last month. With the amount i can spend playing it's impossible for me now to get enough currency to upgrade my gear anymore. So i just log in to do a map or two/ Sekhema run or two while waiting for the new "league"/ reset/ "insert name where you start over".

I can relate to this, as I don't play as much anymore because I refuse to RMT or use ExileML and since I don't do these things, I can no longer compete in the market place and have been effectively priced out unfortunately.
This is EA, you don't pay for DLC or expansions with PoE. You paid for early access to the game, the game is free.

You and others really need to relax, GGG will absolutely patch these things out and are already going to do another economy league.

When we get ingame AH this web trade is horrible with so many flippers who destroy economy even more.

So you think that introducing an auction house will reduce item flipping? Are you serious?

An auction house would be perfect for bots because there is no player interaction. So you would just make flipping more efficient. We have seen this in Diablo 3.

You complain about something and suggest a "solution" how to make it more efficient, make it happen more often.

Last Epoch solution is great. Poe is too proud or stupid to implement anything similar. gg(g) lol
Economy is rough right now because most Day 1 people are mapping now and Exalted Orbs are all over the place BUT Divines still don't drop very often. 300 hours in and only seen 5. The second brand of currency is just too abundant. Not to be political, but similar to if a country just prints more money to throw into circulation it becomes less relevant while Gold is still Gold and it's value will always be valid as it can't simply be produced whenever.

What is the answer? In a game, nothing really. They would have to decrease the drop rate of Ex to make it rare again, but then you crush your new players who just finished the campaign and are ready to map and hunt for Ex to use as currency.

Another solution is to up the drop rate of Divs to shrink the gap in value between Ex and Divs but then you are just doubling down on the original problem. Somehow the game has to get back to 90 Ex = 1 Div. 280+ Ex to 1 Div is really out of control.

STILL BETTER THAN D4!!!

Literally everything dealing with items in Last Epoch just blows PoE out of the water. Itemization is better. The fact that items are already identified (seriously why is this still a thing we have to do in PoE2? there is no possible justification other than the devs hate players). The amazing in game loot filter creator. The SSF mechanics are outstanding. The AH and trading interactions are awesome. Crafting is literally 10000000000% times better than the absolute dumpster fire that are orbs in PoE.

It's a shame the rest of the game is just so mediocre. If you could strip out all the item interactions from Last Epoch into PoE you'd have the greatest game of all time.

the community has to solve it ultimately, which means there is almost no chance of it being a thought out sensible plan. the group mind is unconscious, it swarms, it flocks, it stampedes.

if we had sense we should just abandon exalts as a trading currency. you cant force something to have a value imo.

chance orbs are what? about 50:1 divine? if they were made the smaller trading currency the demand for them would go up massively and we would probably see a shift to something like 20:1 divine.

imo thats a way better ratio for a small to large currency. vendoring uniques gives a supply, that gives all uniques some kind of value as a drop, it also makes an interesting dynamic where there is a known probability of chancing a given unique so you get an odd self regulation of maximum values on uniques in trade via exchange rates because at some point it would make more sense to chance the item, so it would stop inflation ever pushing the orb/items to real extremes.

chaos are about 50:1, putting a massive demand on chaos by making them a trading currency again would push that maybe to 20:1?

avoids the potentially positive or negative of the chance probabilities being a factor depending on how people feel about that.

theres options here for a way better gold standard than exalts/divs. if we had sense as a community we would all just agree ok, lets do this, and make the switch.

im guessing we probably dont.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
Is the economy really trash? Or is it just that exalts are not worth as much as they were 2 weeks ago.

- Exalts have been devalued because you can get 5-40 ex per map.
- Now that many people have unlocked their breach and Delirium trees, they can get free deli maps, and 30-60+ shards for each per map. Thats at least 300 ex every 5 maps just from the content, excluding any raw drops
- Every single person in this game can get rarity on their gear. It's not some gated mechanic, nor is it ridiculously expensive to run. It's perfectly realistic easy to get 100%, then slap on a golden charm.
- There's so much damn bubblegum currency that drops if you can be arsed converting it in the exchange - chaos, chance, etc.
- We can see citadels from miles away now and there's always dozens of parties you can join if you cbf rolling your own maps.

Rare items that drop are absolutely not all trash. The amount of 10-40D items if found, or gambled through alva and slammed an ex or two on has given me at least a couple of hundred divine.

I'm at the point where I don't even pick up <T14 maps. I build up 4 stash tabs of T14-15, reforge all into T15, then I end up with about half a tab of excellent IIQ &/or IIR maps, corrupting or giving away the rest. There's so many ex that drop, I'll spend about 150 ex rolling 6-affix t15s to get some 600% maps for citadels. I'll do that for every citadel.

I honestly do not understand the mindset people have here. PoE1 is so much more of a grind-fest, while things also cost much, much more. They're spoiling us in PoE2.

I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.
