Dawn of the Hunt Map Portals Clarification

portals in Poe1 works much better, in poe2 it's the reason I quit playing.
I like juicing and not playing too safe. In poe2 you get forced more to play lower content just to be safe. I hope you will do it the poe1 way in future.
The only players whose concerns on this actually mattered (HC Players) thank you for the clarification.

However, at this point, if it is tied to deaths and you can respawn within the map without needing to go through a portal after death. Why even have multiple portals in the first place? Why not just have a single portal that can be used multiple times, and have a revive counter. If the reason is for cosmetics/aesthetics. Then just always have 6 portals open at all times, each with infinite uses, and have a revive counter and when it reaches 0 and you die, all portals close.

Just a thought.

Guess i missed something or misremembering but you could always enter/exit waystones/maps as much you like when not dying. Was last year before any bigger PiE 2 patch.

Can you please stop using bad confusing terminology, especially for newer players?

Lives/revives in POE2 should not be referred to as portals, when there is already a completely unrelated mechanic with that official name.

Even Chris left your company. It's time to get rid of vision completely and make actually fun game without vestiges of the past.

Why are there penalties for dying to start with? Why are you obsessed with making downsides (like removing EXP penalty fron bosses but EXP itself too)? It's not fun and it makes people play less.

Give more upsides instead!
