91k Phrecia peak vs 234k DotH peak
PoE 2 is still cooking and yet more people returned than PoE 1's highest peak of 228k. Doomers, what are your excuses now?

Right and Fortnite has a 24h peak of 1.4 million. Clearly, we should only be playing that.

"Ah, yes. Since when is Path of Exile competing with Fortnite? lol? What a weird take. |

Are you comparing an event in a league that has been running for almost a year to an update to a brand new game? I don't think this is the way to put things into perspective.
We can use numbers the way we like. I could say that "less than half of the players trying PoE 2 the first time around returned for 0.2". So, the majority of players don't want to keep playing. Will that trend keep happening? Will we see ~100k in 0.3 or 0.4? The fact that this brand new, "amazing and innovating" ARPG is barely getting PoE 1 league launch numbers is a little bit alarming in my eyes, especially as PoE 2 numbers include Chinese players, and PoE 1 numbers don't, as they have their own version. And last time I checked, there's a few people living over there. Numbers are tricky. I'm no doomer, I wish PoE 2 all the best. But the reality isn't quite as good. And I'm fairly sure that if GGG released 3.26 next weekend, the 13 year old game would have more players than this brand new "masterpiece". PoE 2 will most likely be a good game. It's just sad that they are unwilling to really update and support the already good game while we wait. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

"Yes, I absolutely do. No one was complaining when it was the other way around. Even then, just using Steam, the current update runs laps around Settlers too. That was PoE 1 highest peak so far. I'm not trash talking 1 but credit where credit is due, 2 really is shaping up to be this companies future and they have all the numbers to back it up. Despite what doomers on both reddit and these forums say, GGG knows what they're doing. |

" Is that why so few PoE 1 players are interested in PoE 2? It's almost as if there's very little overlap just like with D4 or when people were doomposting about Lost Ark. Strange how that works, isn't it? [Removed by Support] Last edited by EthanH_GGG#0000 on Apr 5, 2025, 7:22:03 PM

This only speaks to the influence of the streamers who lead this crowd and the loyalty of the audience that still gives GGG a chance. It says nothing about the game itself.
People around me who are not nearly as biased as I am join this league only because they have to, because they are used to starting every new PoE league. The reviews are generally disappointing. Last edited by bachgaman#6713 on Apr 5, 2025, 3:19:04 PM

" Mixed reviews and not that much people connected finally, even if they paid for that. Let's not forget it was sold like a release with alot of overhype. First "league" release of POE2 ! It's not cooking: it's grilled. To hook a target audience of vulnerable players with a punitive content. "Dirty job, but someone has to do it" personally i would feel guilty to work for this.
