LE is a fun little game but it's not a serious competitor to POE1 or POE2 or D4.

The engine is limited and doesn't have the same feeling of impact.

POE2 does need a lot of improvements with loot drops and crafting, but the base game has way more potential.

POE 2 is POE 1 with better graphics and way less content. Dodge roll and gems is the difference in mechanics. Worse skill tree, one build meta, no balance and worse gameplay. The idiotic no life grind for mythical loot is a like squeezing a 20 pound turd though a Mc Donalds straw. Squeeze all you like all you do is make a mess and get covered in poo.

People were saying no way would POE 1 be better than D3 or D4 but here we are.

What LE is now is what POE 1 was. Upgrade the graphics engine in LE, juice the textures and effects and you have a superior game in every way. Loot is interesting, crafting is best in genre and game play starts easy and gets super tough, as tough as you like in fact. All classes work.

My favorite part of LE? No need to trade, no need to buy stash tabs.

Unfortunately "just upgrade the engine" isn't really just a trivial thing to do lol

Adjusting item drops and adding new content patches is a lot easier than fixing the entire foundation of the game.

Yea just like switching under ware...Upgrade the engine and voile you are done you have a game.

People just don't have a clue what it takes to even add to the architecture of any software, let alone change it's foundation.

Let me remind you that they wanted to upgrade PoE1 with a new engine, and ended up with 2 games...Why is that you enquire ?

Except, PoE2 still runs on the same engine as PoE.

I agree POE 2 has massive potential but I have bet on "potential" many times over the years only to be let down every time. The older I get the more pattens I see in developer behavior.

Honestly unless GGG gets bought by another company I see no future in the game. This is oc my opinion and everyone has one. I trust my own instincts more than my "feelings toward" the game.

POE 1 was amazing but became way too convoluted with all the mechanics and crafting materials. There is always something else to do in the endgame which is where the staying power is in POE 1.

If POE 2 needs the same or more time to flush out the mechanics it could take another 5 years to even get close. Player numbers mean dick if A) they don't buy MTX or B) they leave after the campaign. 5 Year + is a long ass time and other games will be developed in parallel.

This is a live service game and requires regular players to function therefore development is much slower than normal.

LE is taking the money POE 2 should be making and will use it to expand. Granted POE 2 has other avenues of income like RMT's but it isn't 2010 anymore. POE 1 also had the trust of the community, now it hasn't. POE took Diablo fans and other games will do the same to POE.

Funny you're saying that when LE have better 'in game life qualities' than POE.
Like Inventory Sorting, Free Stash Tab and more convinient stuff.

But i have to Agree, POE2 is a monster game compared to LE and have HUGE potential, yet = GGG want us to suffer and make game design bad and punishing.

Jonathan's vision of pain suffering and no reward for risk will kill this game. He is destroying the potential, but 'he doesn't see that issue'.

IMO LE is better than POE in every way except graphics and impact gameplay, which are enough to carry PoE 2 for many people.

Fortunately for me I don't have to hate one game in order to like another, lol.

I hope PoE2 won't turn into this easy arcade game filled with guaranteed participation trophies with no progression where you skip every part of your journey and building your character. There are too many "ARPG's" like that, no need for another one. Has to be room for different games and this does exactly that which I love.

PoE2 feels like a classic D2 - Keep it that way, RNG all the way baby.

Their second season, they reached a peak of 80K and all is on steam.
There is no console or Bnet/GGG launcher.

I like LE but the gameplay/feeling is from 1985, graphism from 2005...
Wolcen in term of graphism and impact is mile ahead of LE.

From what I see is that LE has more players and much much better reviews on steam rn than poe 2 :) so stop coping.
