What is going on with this developer??

Game changes that caused a mass exodus of players to competing titles, thoughtless decisions made without consulting the player community, and now patches that break more than they fix. Is anyone over there still testing this?? Or has it gotten so chaotic that everything is just being pushed live without checking the product first?
Maybe take a cue from others and implement something like a test server, where new changes can be tried out without affecting the live version — and technical issues can be caught beforehand? And please don’t give me the usual excuse that “this is normal” or “the game is in early access and things like this happen.” Sure — for newcomers to the industry. This is Early Access Beta Test Servers..... What are you even on about? WE ARE the testers and they are making the changes.... This game is in PAID BETA TESTING PHASE. LUL. Not even close to full release, unlike the others ya hinted toward.
The Mass Exodus you mention was the Paid Tournament that was going on. Most are back from that now that there is no money to be made. LE is back to around 20 - 30k players like it always has been. PoE2 has 10k sitting in the Offline Log in Menu being AFK LUL!!! The devs have a good track record, you people just want too much too quick. PoE 1 has been around for 11 years!!! Give them some time. |

Yeah I don't understand what's up with all the entitlement.
This is a beta. We are providing data. The game isn't even half complete. Testing phases are rough. Iirc, they were incredibly clear about the state of the game and experience before EA launch. And mass exodus!? We're 6 months in and holding ~30-40% CCU as it was at launch. That's INSANE success for an early access title, particularly one from a lesser known studio like this. Patience. Betas and early accesses are rough. We're here to give the feedback and polish off the edges. Internal testers can't blast the game like all of us can. |
