What is going on with this developer??

This is Early Access Beta Test Servers.....

Sure, it's Early Access — no one's denying that. But Early Access should be about testing new classes, new mechanics, and innovative systems, not reintroducing the same technical issues and oversights we've been seeing in ARPGs ang GGG POE1 for over a decade.

And let's be honest — even in Early Access, there's a baseline expectation of internal QA testing before pushing a patch live. Players shouldn't be the first ones to discover that basic functions are broken. That’s not “normal,” that’s just careless.

It’s not about “wanting too much too quickly” — it’s about respecting the players’ time and feedback. You can’t keep falling back on the Early Access label to justify every misstep, especially when we're already paying to support the game.
Yeah. An early access game that sells mystery boxes?
The player count by ratio is worse than LOK, and that is what should be a wake-up call for some people in the company pushing "The Vision(TM)."

Mass exodus of players to other games? Really? Really? Is that real? Are you sure? Really?

Monthly players breakdown

Month Peak Gain % Gain Average Avg % Gain
March 2025 72,748 -107,753 -59.7% - -
February 2025 180,501 -173,465 -49.0% - -
January 2025 353,966 -224,603 -38.8% - -

This is FACT not my opinion. Look into Steam charts. Then we had a small peak after the release of 0.2, and now it's a wild downhill ride all over again.

Amen, brother!
They only unproven amateur in this case is the reliance on AI to cobble together enjoyable gameplay. We don't like it because AI cannot comprehend "Fun". I believe this is the issue, and people are finally noticing that AI is not your friend when it comes to "Fun"

Hey guy let me stop you there because that's not a sentence that can reasonably be concluded with anything but an absolutely arbitrary personal opinion. Early Access is about something different for every game that utilizes it; some games enter Early Access mere weeks before full release with games that are nearly complete but for a few minor tweaks; other games enter Early Access with little more than animated concept art.

It's absolutely up to YOU to decide which Early Access products you're personally willing and/or interested in engaging with, but your personal opinions don't dictate what developers should and should not be doing during Early Access. It's just a you thing. If you think the current state of PoE2 early access is unacceptable that's absolutely super fine because your participation in it is entirely voluntary.

It's neither bud. It's just you not understanding what these data mean. It's a mistake a lot of PoE1 players seem to be making, some probably deliberately because it makes for an easier argument about the impending failure of PoE2.

Peak daily players is not total active players. The game doesn't need to lose players to lose peak daily players. A gradual decline in peak daily numbers is not the same as a "mass exodus of players."

I've gotten real tired of explaining this over and over again to people like you who are confused by this data, so I've got this in my back pocket now:

This isn't about having "arbitrary personal opinions" — it's about basic quality control. Releasing patches with obvious, game-breaking issues suggests a lack of internal QA, and that's a valid concern, no matter what phase of development you're in.

Early Access doesn't mean abandoning professionalism. If anything, it’s a chance to build trust with the community. And yes — participation is voluntary. So is giving feedback. But dismissing criticism just because "it's Early Access" is missing the point entirel, am i right?
What is really fascinating is the total lack of streamers in the past 3 weeks. Their is a one off shill or rant in the past few days, but clearly people have abandoned POE2 content is a waste of time.

No need to beat your head against the eall to know that loot will be fixed next patch, and the harder roadblock to Act progression will be nerfed. Kinda like the Tariffs.. In uncertain times, do nothing and see what happens.

Game changes that caused a mass exodus of players to competing titles, thoughtless decisions made without consulting the player community, and now patches that break more than they fix. Is anyone over there still testing this?? Or has it gotten so chaotic that everything is just being pushed live without checking the product first?

Maybe take a cue from others and implement something like a test server, where new changes can be tried out without affecting the live version — and technical issues can be caught beforehand?

And please don’t give me the usual excuse that “this is normal” or “the game is in early access and things like this happen.” Sure — for newcomers to the industry. But how long has GGG been around now? And they’re still learning?? Amateurs!

Game is in early access meaning testing and fine tuning. And the game is in perfectly playable state with nothing major broken. Just play something else or coming back after further patches. Stop crying like a spoilt child.
