What is going on with this developer??

This isn't about having "arbitrary personal opinions" — it's about basic quality control. Releasing patches with obvious, game-breaking issues suggests a lack of internal QA

Yeah guy, super perfect example because saving money by doing less internal QA is precisely why some developers choose to release games in EA. Having willing players test games is cheaper than doing it with internal QA resources, and the money they save can be re-invested elsewhere.

Your expectation that Early Access games should go through a thorough internal QA process is absolutely an arbitrary personal opinion. If that's how you feel and you don't think PoE2 is doing that then the best course of action would be for you to not play PoE2 while it's in Early Access.

Game is in early access meaning testing and fine tuning. And the game is in perfectly playable state with nothing major broken. Just play something else or coming back after further patches. Stop crying like a spoilt child.

We’re not here to whine or "cry" — we’re here because we care about the game. Maybe try acknowledging that instead of throwing around tired insults.Kid

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
This sentiment was summed up by a member of our design team who recently said "We don't want to take away the feeling of closing your eyes and Exalting an item, scared to see whether you ruined it or not."

YOLO!

I miss you Chris Wilson. 13 years of friendship! Enjoy life mate!

Thanks for proving my point. You're absolutely right, that skipping internal QA and offloading that burden onto paying players is a cost-saving strategy. But just because it’s cheaper doesn’t mean it’s acceptable, or should be. When we're funding the development through Early Access, we have every right to expect a baseline level professionalism from GGG.

So sure I might step away and try another product ( and i did, just decided to give a try to Last Epoch, downloading now), but not silently. If GGG devs are cutting corners, feedback and criticism are exactly what Early Access is for. Otherwise, we’re not Early Access testers — we’re paying beta testers with zero value in return.

This is my first post about this game, and I've had it since the very beginning — ever since it was possible to buy access.

It's just that I've finally reached my breaking point.
POE 1 is fine and all, but I am colorblind, and the gem socket are too damn subdued to register in my eyes. They haven't fixed this at all. I guess the
in palette is the "Vision".. It's fine to channel "Epileptic Seizure Robot Theatre" in normal gameplay, but to fix the gem socket color issue. Sorry, no can do.

That's why I prefer POE 2, and have many more hours in POE2 than POE 1.

However, this patch is a not starter unless you play a Warrior.

Game changes that caused a mass exodus of players to competing titles, thoughtless decisions made without consulting the player community, and now patches that break more than they fix. Is anyone over there still testing this?? Or has it gotten so chaotic that everything is just being pushed live without checking the product first?

Maybe take a cue from others and implement something like a test server, where new changes can be tried out without affecting the live version — and technical issues can be caught beforehand?

And please don’t give me the usual excuse that “this is normal” or “the game is in early access and things like this happen.” Sure — for newcomers to the industry. But how long has GGG been around now? And they’re still learning?? Amateurs!

When you have 3 employees (evidently so) things are bound to break.
and one, last, thing

You know, all of you who keep shielding GGG from any form of criticism under the noble banner of “it’s just Early Access” remind me of modern parents who are too afraid to ever tell their kids they’re doing something wrong. They ignore all the warning signs, keep saying “they’ll grow out of it,” and pretend everything is fine — until one day something serious happens. Then they sit there wondering where they went wrong, when in reality they had plenty of opportunities to step in, give constructive feedback, and guide things in a better direction.

That’s exactly what’s happening here ;) :)

You're not helping by defending everything blindly, you're just delaying the inevitable and calling it support ;)
I don't see any problems ... exept optimizing graphics and connectivity

What is TS talking about?
Failure can be profitable, like in Mel Brooks's The Producers.

My estimate is that GGG has received about 15 million plus through early access fee's, so we are the investors in a great big broadway shore. Then they nerf the crap out of the game and make it Springtime for Aggonar and the Queen of Filth, or Jamanra or Viper. It's by design. They will make more with this game crashing than they would with a popular game and the maintenance it will consume..

Try logging into the game, but I’m afraid you won’t be able to. You’ll either have to wait until they fix the bugs caused by the latest patch, or until they roll the game back to yesterday’s state.
