Act 3 Drowned City Fangs of Frost, Glacial Lance, Culling Strike & Tame Beast

My gear is what you would expect in act 3. I have been playing SSF though I forgot to set it when I created the char so it's not officially SSF but I have traded for nothing. At one point before I respawned and shot this I had 7 river hags on the screen and probably over 60 enemies. The river hags kill you in less than 10 seconds if you stand in the ball of ice.

I am playing "The way it is intended to be play." Wait for a parry (would would be stunned how much you have to wait even with 30 enemies on the screen. Then is that to blow up fangs of frost, use culling strike to get frenzy charges to power glacial lance. This char has over 22 hours played and is not even done with Act 3. I have 3 more acts to go including doing this zone again in cruel.

This is what they want to the game to be? Every 4 months? Seriously? And if your reply is "Just play lightning spear" understand that you actually get the point here, but they WILL nerf that and HARD and SOON. Because THIS is what they are going for. This with what will be probably a 60 hour campaign is "The Vision." They think this is the future, 60 hour campaigns, slog fests through armies of mobs, this is what they want, make no mistake.

It is going to be interesting (and a bit masochistic) to see where this vision actually takes me. I have determined to play "the vision" to endgame and this should make some interesting content. I will keep up to date.

See, your first mistake was actually not following the Act 3 Vision approved build guide that tells you not to use ice skills in drowned city.

Please follow the build guide.

Frankly I dont know how I would get by without culling strike as generating frenzy charges with disengage is foolish.

i know there are guides out there. but then it'd seem you dont wanna use guides


so ok, just enjoy the campaign at your own pace then. no need to adapt.

Guides? You are joking right? I should have to play a guide to play the game? The game isn't supposed to be playable without a guide? I I did all sorts of builds in POE1 without a guide. Regardless of that, all guides are made for trade league and I almost always play SSF. You can feel free to buy your build with your 5 exalts you drop in acts 1 through 2. Some of us would rather play the game. The "guide" is just an excuse. It is also a poor excuse because there is NOTHING in the video you can point out that I was doing wrong. Given that I am not an e-lite gamer (as 99% of the customer base wont be) again for the cheap seats.

I have 3 accounts in POE 1. I have done ALL the content in POE1 and love the game so much that I have eagerly given over 2k of my money to the company over the years.

All you are trying to do is flame to distract from the FACTS being presented here because they threaten your "the game is perfect" bubble while you run around with your "guide" (odds are it's lightning spear) because you let someone else do the thinking for you. Then you think you are an expert, what a laugh.

FYI I have gotten all void stones on HC on my other account and no I wont tell you the name of the account so you can troll it.

Go ... run along ... follow your "guide" and enjoy. I am trying to make a point about the game's playability being sub par and you with your "if you just follow someone else's guide ..." advice made my point.

I feel your pain (I didn’t bother to watch your video, didn’t really need to from your text accompanying it).
I haven’t been playing SSF (just a personal choice, yours is just as valid) but I played the campaign with a build that a friend came up with (and yes it is a huntress) without buying anything from trade at all (but guild did help each other out). Since reaching the atlas and making some good profits I have however used trade but ofc you have chosen (as I said before, your entitled to do so) to play SSF and wouldn’t be able to do that.
Honestly playing this game essentially as if it was an offline solo rpg (not saying it’s accurate but it’s how I’d view SSF) is a choice I’d not make and you have, and that choice has consequences regardless of self built or guide build character.
