Setting up overlapping towers is so tedious
Have you tried to reach a lvl 82 map?
The stars have to be align with Jupiter and mars to get that one! |

Honestly if you did a tower and then the next x number of maps were affected instead of the radius BS it wouldn't be as bad.

" The towers are an awful idea, and yet again, it was designed to have RNG cooked in to keep us playing longer and keep us from target farming... lol. |

good topic. agreed. mapping system in poe2 couldn't be designed any worse if they tried. you just get this feeling of 'man, i dont feel like doing this.. i just wanna play'

The biggest problem with the current atlas is the bloat, literally. There are way too many maps occupying a single screen.
The goal seems to be to have the player focus on exploration, so they can discover all the unique nodes, citadels and corrupted/cleansed zones. The disconnect is that they have to clear 'bare' maps to get there, because the second you actually interact with towers and add tablets, you stop for a considerable amount of time. The way it should work is that you get 1 tower per screen and you only path between them. Once they are completed you get to choose which maps to buff and run and you have to complete a certain amount of them in order to move on. That way there is a clear goal to achieve with each step you take, instead of always feeling like you're either wasting time by not moving fast enough, or wasting buffed nodes by moving too fast. |

look, its easier to just say its not fun.

Actual feedback is being able/willing to articulate what you find not fun about it.
Contrary to what you might believe the whole world doesn't revolve around you and nobody can actually read your mind. |

+1, after activating first tower, I have to avoid the middle center nodes before juicing them, then hit disconnected nodes or water, in the end I have to take a very long way around the outside perimeters just to activate 3 towers.

" Literally every suggestion on this forum boils down to "I should always get to pick exactly what I want to do and it should always be perfectly optimized and if I ever have to run any map I enjoy even a little bit less than another or one that is even in the slightest degree less than perfectly optimized then I have essentially been the victim of a hate crime perpetrated by GGG." Like dude I can't even begin to put into words how utterly shallow and boring your design sounds compared to the current Atlas and all in service of just allowing you to pick what maps you want to run every single time like why have any Atlas at all with your design? It's completely unnecessary. If that's how you want the game to work then they should just let you pick what map you run when you click on the map device and delete the Atlas completely and holy shit I know some of you reading this are loving that idea but no thank you. |

" No you absolutely do not. " And in the meantime I'll charge straight through the middle because literally what difference does it make? The Atlas is infinite it's not like you're going to run out of towers or nodes. And by the time you're done taking your "very long way around" I will have moved on to the next set of towers. You guys are literally obsessing over absolutely meaningless trivial nonsense. In the grand scheme of all the maps you're going to run in a league or in your lifetime the difference between doing a couple nodes with 2 towers instead of 3 is statistically absolutely nothing. |
