IMHO, it's been a long time since we saw a truly unique skill gem like Toxic Rain. It carried a whole League on its own.


PoE 1 really, really needs new toys we can play with, not just different mechanics of the same old skills.

I am a long time high volume player and I have to admit my enthusiasm for the new league (and the league start) is almost zero compared to the past. But part of that is the unexpected (by me) high play time of the game the past few months. I loved fiddling around with Phrecia and given my overwhelming amount of currency in Settlers I decided to play this past month just being OP zerg.

Usually I take a month between leagues to recharge.

Anyway, I quickly read the patch notes and didn't find anything interesting, but if the league mechanic is fun I'll be good because the base game is so great. I do wish though that the Atlas passives incorporated the idols like it seemed a natural thing to do.

Four more months of Standard.

I dont really want to interact with the town at all, i hope there are not challenges tied to it. Also we know how annoying is to play maps layout that you dont like from thanks to poe2.

There's a ton of new skills: Trarthan skills. We don't know exactly how many, but I'm sure its a lot.

It's also an entirely new endgame...although thats tangential to 3.26

That "new endgame" is just reskinned Memories (that no one liked) with bootleg sentinel slapped on it.
