That "new endgame" is just reskinned Memories (that no one liked) with bootleg sentinel slapped on it.

Personally I loved and still love memories. Also loved Sentinel. And ofc you ignore the new crafting and bosses because it fits your narrative to ignore them.

Expansion leagues are ALWAYS a good time. Always. In the entire history of PoE. Even if the league mechanic is middling, the expansion makes up for it.

Everything in PoE in the last 4+ years has been a "reskinned" something else in some way. Except my 3 least favorite leagues: Sanctum, Settlers, and ToTA

What new crafting? Its just more chances for higher tier of mod, thats it.
Last expansion completly reworked atlas and gave us atlas passive tree on top of that. Gave us Several new bosses, new influences, new mods that come with it, unique implicits etc
This "expansion" gave us 3 new bosses... and thats pretty much it.

Wallow in your hate. Having played this game for 13 years now, and never disappointed by an expansion, I'm more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

This expansion also gives us several new bosses, and maybe one secret boss fight? And the new crafting tech seems like a nice icing on the cake, as it's fairly good to start a craft with - and to end a craft with.

I'm more stoked about the Sentinel mechanics, as Sentinel league is probably one of my favorite leagues.

But hey, once it became clear that this was an expansion, I did also hope for a reshape of the atlas, and not just something "added on top". I also hoped for a more widespread META shakeup, but we can't have everything in these "PoE2 days", as much is clear.

I'll play. I'll probably have fun. But a lot depends on how interesting these Trarthus skills are. I almost got excited when I saw the new Heavy Strike skill teased, until I saw that it was Staff only, which was a sucker punch of massive proportions.

They said you need to hire workers again. So hunt for highest level works (5 now) and feed them 24/7 again.

I really don't want to farm gold for Kingsmarch again. I am one of these players that just had to do it and it just felt bad since I never had enough.

I think gear-wise people are going to be geared to the max really fast. Memory strands will print items with rare T1 mods. Smash good mods together with the new recombinator method to get your "starting items" for regular recombinator crafting. The speed farmers can have all T1 (non-influenced) gear sets complete on day 1 of league. By the time normal people get to endgame maps forget about anything other than boss drops being worth anything.

If mercs die to a sneeze they're useless for 99% of your playtime. If mercs don't die to a sneeze you can slap a Doryani's Prototype on them and do 4x damage. If mercs die to a sneeze you use the new fire pen ring for 4x damage. Some serious balance considerations.

I'm not sure what I want to play this league other than champion. None of the new gems stand out to me. Champion looks super fun though.

New recombinators have like 1% chance to success if you want to combine two good items picking two good mods. Its not a system you use for perfect items. Its something you will use to get resists right after you finish campaign.

Also that new fire pen ring will cost like a mirror.
