Acolyte of Chayula - Passives review and feedback
" I'm being misunderstood here. I would like Chonk to lean towards Chaos damage only actually. It is just how the nodes are being placed in relation to each other - it's inconsistent and confusing atm. |

" Oh, right. My bad. 100% on board. :D |

The problem for me when I played Chonk this league was the fact that two ascendancy passives (at least 2) were wasted on difficult content aka Bosses - making use of volatility on bosses was pretty much impossible because there is no scaling for it.
The two small passives, or the first ascendancy, imho need a line that reads "x% chance to gain volatility on hitting a rare or unique enemy" with no cooldown restrictions. The whole ascendancy now feels very underwhelming, honestly. While other ones gain bonuses straight up (e.g. warbringer's block or armour break, or pathfinders extra poison prolif and extra stacks), Chonk doesn't really get any benefits if you can't procc volatility on bosses or you get extremely unlucky with remnant spawns. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris. Last edited by Ydoum#5726 on Oct 5, 2025, 6:21:58 AM

" I genuinely dropped volatility whatsoever and am just rolling Shattering palm + dodge with Void Illusion, Wind dancer and caltrops. SPalm -> dodge, repeat on mapping. Bossing is just stack combo for Falling Thunder with CulminationII. Works great, but is far from what I would like to have on an Acolyte. |
