So how do we feel about Keepers of the Flame efter a few days?
" How is this a P2W league? Am I missing something? Have they implemented something I'm unaware of? Last edited by Hydra1975#4696 on Nov 22, 2025, 9:07:58 AM

This is one of the worst, if not THE worst league since I started playing in Ultimatum. I'll take Kalandra over this any day. Yes, Kalandra was extremely unrewarding first week, but after 2 or 3 buff patches, it actually become rewarding, to the point of me sniping tablets in the market 24/7 and running them for profit.
This league had 1 buff that was laughable and thats it. GGG already moved on. The entire early-mid game progression was skipped and now we are left with a league mechanic that gives no reward at all , Horribly weak endgame farming strats that dont require you to invest that much into gear so no reason to grind, and weak bloodlines/foulborns that dont excite anyone to try new things. There's literally no reason to keep pushing at all once you can do strongboxes which takes like a week at most. |

This league sements a change in genre for poe1.
This game was about KILLING monsters and dropping loot, and scaling those 2 things as far as you could. Now the game officialy is about interacting with interfaces that pop an item ticket. There's nothing that can be pushed further. Its kinda like a mobile game now. Build your city, grow a womb, do some heists and run fast. Get your ticket items and repeat. Kill a few monsters in between to pretend we are still an rpg. Last edited by AeriusMaximus#4350 on Nov 22, 2025, 11:46:49 AM

" you use USD to buy market tabs. you use the market tabs to sell at a favourable advantage to those who did not pay USD to aquire market tabs from ggg. a favourable advantage that leads to a better price. 14 for mine, 16 for yours. why? I gotta be there, you gotta wait.... don't gaslight me. everyone with eyes to see knows that the prices of items sold via premium stash tabs are lower than the prices of market tabs. there is no debate to be humoured on the matter. this is pay to win |

Ok im halfway to 92 now. Running mostly T14-16 (have not tested a T17 still).
I am getting fortress alot, it feels like there are more chests to open inside now, the things outside that they have added where. If you hit it, it will blow up walls/activate the dots made the "walls" feel ok for me atleast. I still wish i could use the atlas tree like before. So you could have a chance to add possible smaller hands spread out. Or if they did add so as you "progress" with handing in body parts, more and more "small" breach hands starts showing up around in the area of "the big hand". or as it expands its field when activated. the old "smaller" hands can show up so its possible to get a, alsmost firework effect of hands activating and expanding, covering the hold map (if you are way cooler then me and can screen clear fast). I thnk that would have been a fun progression to the new breach thing, more enemys would spawn, more chances at loot. A combination of the new, with still the possiblility of the old version hands spawning. And be able to spice it up with the atlas tree would have been fun i feel. Atm its a "ok" league, i think it will keep me entertained atleast for now. Cant have to much Junk in your Stash

" GGG is not a charity. They need to make money so they can pay developers, etc. You only need 2 or 3 tabs for selling max, plus you can convert your old premium stashtabs for free. Stashtabs have always been a "P2W" factor in this game, but you are not forced to buy them. The game itself is free. It's pure convenience. You can still use the old method for selling and it works fine. Last edited by Hydra1975#4696 on Nov 23, 2025, 11:11:07 AM

Stash tabs may blur the line towards p2w in that they impact efficiency and are a great convenience with stash affinities and online trade functionality, but they are not pay-to-win in the classical sense.
Lets keep that term for games that are actually pay-to-win, like games that sell stat boosts, gear sold for cash, upgrades and faster XP progression. Rather, PoE is pay-to-compete in that if you want to partake in the market economy efficiently, you have to purchase stash tabs. However, owning 20 premium tabs versus owning 30 premium tabs does not mean player B is winning over player A. Stash tabs enable you to build wealth more efficiently, but they have no further impact on how you actually perform in building your character or challenging endgame content. In that, Agnosius' insinuation that this league is p2w galore is unfounded and wrong The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Superb league, truly a blast. They just need to slightly increase the loot balance for those who suffer from FOMO, but otherwise, as it stands, it's close to perfect. For me, that's the end of the league, goodbye guardian of the flame forever.
