The campaign is WAY too long

I did enjoy the campaign, what i do hate is that the fact you can temporarily excuse yourself to attend to an urgent bio-cyclical necessity and facilitate a significant resource reallocation between each boss phase and when jumping into the abyss.
My biggest gripe is if I want to make another character, I have to do the whole thing over again. So I usually never make another character. lol.

You play one character the entire 4 months? I think you are the outlier here. People can no life the campaign and be done in under 10 hours. OCD freaks like me take forever because map fog can NOT exist. From my perspective the maps are too big and there is a lot of content that does nothing to move the story forward.

I'm so torn on the release of acts 5 & 6.

I really enjoy playing the campaign, ONCE OR TWICE. It 100% becomes a massive chore / pain to do every season.

I'm simultaneously looking forward to playing acts 5 & 6 the first time, and dreading the preludes getting turned into 2 more full acts in every playthrough after that.
Some maps are just way too big, they really need trim them down

Endgame changes for 0.5 are extremely necessary but campaign needs a little "optimization" too
Defo sick of running the campaign.

IMO needs some kind of bypass. Current thought is after doing campaign on account once, get an option to run a version with no quest requirements and all the artificial road blocks removed - stuff like having to do X quest before Una will screech at the roots to let you past, just remove the roots from ever being there for the 'prestige' run. Job done.

Still leveling in the same areas, youre still going to go get stuff like the venom draught and charm buffs, and kill the bosses that drop Skill Books because you get actual rewards for doing em. Also move NPC quest reward books from the NPC onto the boss or chest you loot, bit more stream lining.

Now the barrier to getting to maps is purely player power, no artificial handbrakes.
I think the campain is way too long too. Most of the time it fells like streched such for the sake of making it longer than of making it fun.

Act 3 is still too long and act 4 omg...just feels like a complete waste of time. Not im not having fun, no im not leveling, no im not learning my skills, no im not killing for XP im just running past everything just to get it done and still it takes forever.

The interludes almost make me quit the game instantly. Im just thinking why? Why i have to do this? Why cant o just go on to the endgame and try to finish my charcter.

Never going to make a second character because i dont want to do this again. I really woul like to try new classes and new builds, but i rather go to another game, than go through all of the campaign again.

Im not good, too me 10 hours to get through and game is still a lottery, to get gear. One second i do 1mm damage to a boss and want to quit, next second i get a weapon and kill a boss with like 3 hits.

If the campain was like 5 hours i would do 4 characters and more, just for fun. But like this im just like i dont want to this again to me.
Love the campaign. Can't wait for other acts. Doing 2-4 characters per league and first 20-30 hours of each of them are spent in campaign. Honestly I don't understand people who rush thru it to the boring and repetitive endgame (I mean a partialy do - finishing builds, trying new stuff, power) and I rather play campaign over and over again on higher difficulties all the way to lvl 95 if possible than doing waystones.
