The campaign is WAY too long
|
I also think it's too long. I don't care how they speed it up but they can probably do multiple things. Builds come online way too late IMO, if they could fix that maybe the campaign wouldn't feel so painful.
They can cut parts too - eg just cut the entire waterways, cut getting off and getting back on the caravan, in Act 4 I feel like I'm always running between boat and city waypoint for whatever reason it's just wasted time. In Act 4 the dream world place with the Yama boss that looks like a glow in the dark mini putt is also way too long. Yes I know people who play the game 300 hours a month don't care but i can't do that. |

I’m expecting the campaign to be expanded during expansions. I have no idea why anyone would want to skip character progression straight into an endgame build. That’s the most anti-ARPG thing to do. Essentially wanting to play prebuilt characters.

The campaign is to short, cant wait for the extra acts.

Only somewhat shorter with an alternate campaign that is sort of like the shortcuts in LE would be ok. Main problem in my opinion is that a lot of areas are just really boring repetitive slog.

++++++++++

Agreed.
WAY too long for something that needs to be repeated every 4 months. WAYYYYY too long to the tune of 2 or 3 times. Last edited by JODYHiGHR0LLER#6171 on Dec 16, 2025, 8:10:14 PM

" What a load. Change colours on your TV and ingame for half of the map, better? They could do just that, split zones in half add a different hue to each and hey, small zones of your dreams. You play 1 big instead of 2 or 3 smaller, wtf is a difference? Last edited by Rabarbar_Lichy#7553 on Dec 17, 2025, 6:25:37 AM

I just wanna agree, campaign is waaaaaay to long

Can't agree enough, i am dreading making a new character no matter how good individual parts of the story are.
Poe 1 has the same issue and it's one of the few things I believe d4 to do way better than Poe: Let us grind what content we enjoy from the second character onwards if we want to Just being able to do map-like random areas would be great I don't think that reducing map size helps that much with the fatigue, it's just the repetitive steps over and over that make new characters dreadful to consider |

It's not just Diablo, Grim Dawn also introduced a different way to level up. So it is not that uncommon to skip the campaign. Especially the monstrosity that is in the making with six huge acts.
