Remove Divine Orb Eldritch altars

I got close to 20 divs from a map with the Eldritch altar last league (and got a 2nd div altar in the maps) and compared to the average of almost no div raw drops otherwise, it's too excessive. It's so excessive to a point where it is just dumb to play w/o Eldritch influence.

I always play with red influence because the downsides on that one barely affect my build while the blue downsides are super annoying, and it spits out so much chaos and gemcutter prisms and other good currency. Its guaranteed currency every map instead of hoping to get the 1 big div altar on blue influence.


I also got 1x corrupted mageblood div card card once off a red altar so that was cool.

That and the bigger eldritch currency for the implicits sells for more because less people run red than blue lmao

Considering how incredibly rare those altars are 20 divs as a prize is nothing. It is something you can't expect to find during a league(especially the double altar). It is more than reasonable to keep in game.

Both strats are paying off just fine atm. You have to also remember that if one of the sides gets used more the other side will get increased loot value. Especially for the Exarch/Eater jewel drops.

The Divine altar is in a really good place.
It entices those inclined to gamba and seeking big payoff.

On the other hand, to those (of us) who are not so inclined, the Exarch altars are a good, steady income.

They cater to two different types of mentalities/player styles.
And they ensure both types of currency is being farmed for the economy.

I ran "all" three variants last league, Maven, Exarch and Eldritch. And while yes, the gemcutters here and there were nice, it was not remotely as memorable as the two(!) times I got the divine altar - even kept a screenshot of 6 or 7 divs dropped side by side on a single screen... And while I started to "plan" the next league, I caught myself thinking that I cannot NOT run Eldritch - and I still do think that. And I agree, some mods are super bs and I ended up just hunting for divine altars last league and mostly ignoring the rest, which ended up in degenerous gameplay.

I never got a divine altar in years, so count yourself lucky...

My one div altar after several leagues with far more than 1 mio kills was at the end of the Glacier Map pretty much the last thing right before the boss that i clicked and i got 1 div.

Maybe I did get lucky, fair enough... But I see every now and again someone posting in global they got tens of divs from an altar... So, Yeah, the fomo is real...
On the other hand the previous post also shows, if you finally get the altar and it is right at the end of the map, it is a super feels bad moment... My 2nd div altar last league btw was also suboptimal, but I got some divs at least...

lol by this faulty logic......most farming methods should be trashed right? Because if you factor in all the maps where you DIDN'T have that divine altar, and then average the amount of "divines per altar".......its probably one of the single LOWEST payouts in all endgame juicing.

But sure, I'm sure it feels good to (notsoquietlybrag) complain about that ONE time you got 20 divines in a single map.
