[Nemesis] HP EK Scion - Arctic Armor + EB + MoM - 5+ Auras

I made a gameplay build. I'm now level 71, running with a 5l lit coil. I'm at about 6k dps with eth knives.

Well your huge focus on regen gear probably makes your gear overall terrible.. while making your mana regen insanely high. 179% is not a moderate amount.

I'm at 3200 max mana and only 255 regen. Level 83.

My gear *is* terrible. I'm level 71 and have spent maybe 10 chaos on upgrades in the history of my character. I'm just trying to add some actual numbers to the discussion of mana regen.

If you focus on top tier mana regen rolls for rings, amulet, wands, shields, then you can score ~270% mana regen on gear. This would put my 180% in the medium-high category. I could drop 1 item and be in the medium-ish category around 135%. But, I haven't capped yet either.

I also have 1/2 of your mana which means I have a much smaller amount of base regen. If I were to double my mana, I could shave off mana regen to match.

The best numbers I can find for end-game come from ZiggyD's similar EK+EB+MoM+AA spec. He doesn't run as many auras, but the core defensive setup is the same. At 85, he has 271 mana/sec, resist capped, and 7.5k EK DPS in a 6L. He also takes Inner Force and runs max level AA.

TL;DR: Inner Force + AA + Mana Regen is doable at all levels with no major sacrifices required. But, your gear preferences will change based on whether or not you can run Discipline.

Absolutely the core of this is almost identical to Ziggy's. He has some FANTASTIC videos, I highly recommend them.

3082 health
1748 base mana (3043 buffed)
270.1 mana regen / sec
1307 armor
2909 evasion (I haven't picked up IR yet, haven't needed as this video will show you)
28% block chance
~150% spell damage (from gear)
23% cast speed (from gear)
22% increased phys damage (belt)

EK / AA are at level 17 so there is still a lot of DPS to gain as those level to 20

Had my first near death with this build last night. Went up against a rare Undying Outcast that was a Storm Herald, life regen, life leech, extra damage, quick, and resist elem dmg.

I got it down under 40% by kiting and such and then decided to pop a Jade and tank it some. Even at cap resists and over 4k armor, damn thing took me down under 200 health. I ran and threw some bear traps (linked with IIR and culling). He was close enough to death for the trap to cul it and I got this for my reward:




Sorry I know this has nothing to do with the build directly, just had to share this story.

I'm lvl 65 now, and hit my first real problem with mana and mana regen. I swapped out some gear and lost just enough regen and I can't run AA now. I finally got my resists capped without purity, so I'll hopefully be adding another 60% as soon as I acquire some more mana or mana reserve nodes. I'm 4 pts away from Sovereignty.

Damn that's a scary ass rare. Storm Herald's terrifying the crap out of me (even with capped resists). Nice drop though! I had the same problem with AA and actually started leveling a new one that I left at a lower level to use.

Actually, that's a good idea. I could continue to level the higher level one so I could use it in the future, and keep the low level one around until then.

I really wanted to get purity out of the way, and I didn't quite realize it would cost me the ability to kite with AA. I don't have any mana regen on any gear, so all my regen is coming from the amount of mana + passives + clarity.

Just watched it. Good video. I am actually surprised by how fast you killed Piety (although your wand is pretty nice!) simply because people keep saying how EK sucks at killing bosses late-game, and that's with a 5L. Good demonstration on how powerful this can be without godly gear.

Overall I don't think my gear is "godly" but it's definitely worth a few EX (If you exclude my rings, probably about 10-15ex total with my one crazy ring, probably about 40). Not having to run purity lets me run haste in its place, which is another ~1000 dps or so, but getting that Lit res high enough was a real chore (I got a 67 lit res/hp/cast speed ring from chaosing a lot)

As for piety, I think that face tanking her is probably the more impressive bit. A lot of people like that say that OMG YOU NEED IR WTF ARE YOU DOING YOU MUST DIE SO MUCH! As you can see, I barely even take damage from piety, I actually have to wait for her to hit me a bit before I culled her so I could pop my distillate. It's painful if she doesn't get ice form, because fire only does me mayyyyybe about 100-150 / hit and I regen that in <1s.
