I'm a bit too old to get in some kind of browser wars or similar stupid discussion.
Besides you better try to read once more and comprehend before starting flame.

I'm not comparing 2 yo browsers with new ones, just 2yo browsers between themselves.
I felt no difference between them in terms of 'speed' at least in basic tasks, despite they were heavily marketed as faster better etc..
I won't bother myself to upgrade them to fresh rev to get same results.

There's no visible difference between brands (ff, chrome, opera), it's all about marketing and you are a victim.
Grow up.

This is all absolutely wrong, especially the last part.

That's like saying the is no difference between walmart jeans(Interent Explorer) and Hollister jeans (Firefox) yes these companies want there product to be easily recognizable that doesn't mean there isn't differences.
Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.

It's like saying there's not a difference between different car models of the same year just because they can all drive.

You seriously can't be bothered to take two minutes to pres the 'upgrade now' button that probably pops up every time you launch your browser? You really need to upgrade if for no other reason than the better security and stability.

lastest opera vs latest chrome
~2% difference in performance in my case, and it's pretty complex (rendering, indexing, etc etc).
Where's the hype?
Benchmark by guys from 3dmark company, I'd say it's more valid than some random bloggers tests, not saying about marketing crap like firing long range potatoes :>

Too bad you can't see detailed scores from each part.

cool, I'm using latest opera since always, like 8 yrs or sth.
I just won't download 3 times a week new version of other browsers like chrome/ff/safari and god only know what else to check if it's 0.1% faster that my current opera build. It may be but I don't care since difference is so low that I wouldn't even notice.

Using other browsers sporadically.
IE to watch streamtorrent video and ff to play quakelive.
I don't need more security unless new builds will save me from spawnraping in 1/1...
Guess they won't

you guys need to learn to use Safari. Its far superior to any browser. Its also great if you're a designer or make movies.
Cheaper than free... Speedtree
Mac will always be a niche platform and the vast majority of them will also have a pc. Safari also has suffered in benchmarks and has failed miserably in multi-tab tests.

For multiple tabs ->Chrome its just the better solution for multi-tab handling

For single tabs or if i have tabs i want to refresh automatically -> firefox it just works perfectly fine with my work-flow ...
The difference between theory and practice in practice is bigger than the difference between theory and practice in theory
been using Firefox since it released
FireFox = GG :D
1 + 2 = 5?
Opera is the best.
