Hi,
I have same problem and might have a way to help a bit until GGG sorts problem out.Whenever I get stuck on high ping/no server update I quickly alt-tab and go back into.Go back to relatively secure place where there are no mobs prior I suppose. I know game logs out if you alt-tab for long time but it works for me as long as i do it quickly.Hope it helps some of you. |

I tried that, and if I tab out and in for the next 10 seconds the lag becomes HELLISH, I mean like FPS drop to 10 FPS from 60.

" This doesn't seem to indicate any obvious problems. Please try using WinMTR instead, instructions here. | |
I don't know if this has been suggested in this thread, but can you check to see if you have Pando media booster installed?
So many times we've had a League of Legends player complain about lag in PoE, we've found that program running (LoL installs it), and the problem went away once it was removed. Lead Developer. " This is interesting because it points to something other than lag. FPS shouldn't drop. Typical causes of this are pre-loading issues (what skills do you use regularly?) I think summon skeleton is currently not pre-loaded. Many users have reported FPS drops for various reasons, and GGG is working on fixing these issues. " Chris is absolutely right about the Pando Media Booster. Any game you download which uses it will leave it on your machine and if you check your Task Manager > Process Tab you'll find that even after a restart it will randomly activate itself and run in the background. The program serves no purpose after the initial download of the client is completed and should you need it for another download it will be provided with that games client as they are tied together. I've made it a habit of going to uninstall it immediately every time I've had to use it to download a game client. |

I had pando media booster installed for some reason... can't remember when I installed it, I will now try again.
But some skills just lagged, like summon skeletons and opening big chests. :) OS: Win 11

" That is a relatively common issue and you will probably randomly see it as well when somone puts a large number of item links at once into chat. The good news is, if I understand Chris' post right, they have found a way to mitigate this and it may even make it into 0.9.10. Check the post in Beta Status entitled "0.9.10 Deployment Timeline" and read the last paragraph of Chris' post for more details about this. |
