Market actually ruins the game
Market is ruined because GGG decided to let the entire company take 22 days off and didn't leave an emergency crew and allowed cheating to go unchecked for weeks.

Would be nice to have SSF a little bit less ssfy. I wil go somewhere like 'group SSF' - when u can play multiplayer and can exchange drop inside of your gild for e.g. but have no access to mass market (probably will exchange action should cost some guild currency, so that people can not spam-exchange stuff).
This will be like the best of two worlds - like the feeling of discovering nice loot and also utilise the one u dont need for your build, but still nice. Also will support and popularise teamplay and social interactions. And a better crafting is also required for this, yes - like POE 1 was already quiet good. I would GREATLY increase currency drops for SSF, so that people can realy craft their gear. Would be nice to see some usage for good but outdated equipment - like merging two (three in POE tradition - like gear+ gear + some currency) t1 modifires on same gear results in this gear with t2 modifier. (two belts with t1 life give same belt with t2) |

" This makes 0 sense. -Dont like trade, play SSF. -Drops are too much or too little, that is a balance issue, this has nothing to do with the functionality. -Streamers are an issue? you can balance rates around drops per hour instead of kills per hour. -Can even balance around trades per day like Warframe does Non of this is related to the existence of an in game auction house. |

" TL:DR SSF feels bad |

" People keep repeating this lie and I'm going to keep calling it out because it's very simple: If this game/item drops were balanced around trade then there would be an in game Auction House, not the current frankenstein system. |

" That is the point, the current solution is not acceptable, it needs to be improved, not done away with. |

I 100% completely agree with everything you wrote, and I myself made a post with some feedback saying the exatt same thing not even 20 minutes ago.
Playing the game is not about the items anymore, it's about the currency. Players aren't excited to drop an upgrade, they are excited to drop a divine that they can use to buy an upgrade. Crafting Orbs (Divines) should be used for crafting and nothing else. If GGG want this weird currency system they should make something new entirely that exists for the sole purpose of being currency, and not something that was intended to be used for crafting purposes. |

" For PoE1, and I believe PoE2, the devs have said repeatedly that gear for the entire game mode is intentionally nerfed because Trade is available. Add to that statements about SSF, Rutheless, etc. not being the target of balance and the results -- if you believe the DEVS -- seem clear. It's my understanding that if an easy-to-use auction house was implemented that item drops would be nerfed even further. I.E. because there is "friction" when trading the Devs feel it's appropriate to allow better goods ... |

" SSF is probably the worst iteration of the game to play. You are directly punished by not being allowed to use the 'currency' for it's intednded purpose of crafting as the currency drop rates are adjusted for the inclusion of a trading market. If the function of a Divine Orb existed as a crafting item and not a trading item and GGG created a new item which was exclusively to be used for currency it would be WAY better. They could then jack the rate of the divines dropping up at will and people would actually interact with their 'crafting' system. The inclusion of a trade market completely removes any semblence of a 'crafting' mechanic from the game, including SSF for the aforementioned reasons. |

I think, during my 11 years of playing PoE, that this is the topic that baffles me the most.
There are apparently some people who are stupid and entitled enough, that they think EVERYONE ELSE should also be miserable because they can't enjoy playing trade league. Go play SSF and leave us alone. Nobody cares if your experience is bad or if you don't like it. Nobody. Cares. Love the games. PoE1 way more so than PoE2, but still enjoying both.
Hate the company. The scummy, lying, fake and shitty facade, the excuses, the failures, and most of all, the "Vision". Keep both of those in mind when reading my posts. |
