Vaal skills are basically a giant noob trap.

Well so far i'm waiting to see how it works with permanent skills such as pets, auras, or long duration ones, as they seem to be the only one worth using at first glance.

I hate spells on timers in all games, so not excited with this, i'd rather have something that works well all the time rather than a fancy spell to use once in a while. The "on kill" system is disappointing as well, it pretty much means they will be useless (mostly) on bosses, do we really need more aoe trash cleaning skills...

You do realize that not all skills can be vaal, only specific ones that ggg thought would be cool, there will prolly be no auras or pets as vaal skills.
GGG should have put all their programming time into a functioning and comfortable trading system instead of these useless Vaal skills...just my 2c

Lol, seems bizarre ignoring the core 99% of the game, trading, and doing something pointless like working on combat.

I mean, who does that fighting shit?
Casually casual.

source?

if it is so - it is a good stuff. i find chaos 2-3 times a day (excluding recipe) and.. it should be ok that way

hope it is not 'about a regret' that i see once a month..

thank you! i hope it stays so (even it can be 2times more rare but not 100 times more rare..)

i really like the socket-tension this concept creates

while cooldowns were not needed up to this point and most people would probably get along nicely without them the very ability to cast 'you die!' stuff is enticing

very very interested in traps and EK

for once im glad i have several ~18lvl gems in stash
I am seriously hoping that we are still able to use the non-corrupted version of the spell while it is charging.

Like press button X when souls are filled to release "corrupted version" on next skill push.

If we really need more sockets just for this, it is not gonna be popular imo.

(pure speculation and opinion of course)

Lol.
Wait so, has it been confirmed or not if the skill is usable all the time, but fires off its 'special' ability once it recharges?

That is how I just assumed it would work but after reading the first few pages of this thread it seemed like people thought it would ONLY be usable after it charges?

That seems pretty worthless and it's hard to imagine it would work that way....

In the videos, the skills are greyed out when they have no souls, which means they can't be used. So no regular skill function in the meantime. I doubt that they'll change it before the patch goes live, as that'd be a huge change gameplay wise.

Its all speculation but considering that Chris had two versions of Arc equipped and going by what Qarl said about upgrades, it is unlikely that the skill will be able to be used without charge.
