Vaal skills are basically a giant noob trap.

I cannot even count the times I have read stuff like "this will never work" or "now that you nerfed CI / CWDT / LA / IR it will be useless and never used!!!". And almost every time these naysayers were wrong.

We don't know, which new uniques would work in synergy with these new items. We don't know how the new talent tree looks like. Maybe you have new keystones, that have synergy with Vaal skill gems.

You have very limited information and you jump to conclusions -.-

I'm mostly worried how to survive reflect packs with these ultimate skills...

Also, wonder how it interacts with totems...

What I find really funny about this, is that it probably comes from the same type of person that complains that people tend to over emphasize a single skill in this game. Then they complain that a second skill added is a "noob trap". Perhaps this isn't meant as a primary skill.

Also there's off-screen reflect packs, or even that sudden extra fast reflect monster that runs into the pack you're fighting just as you trigger your skill...

If playing hardcore, one such situation is enough to retire the character.

Guess that's fine though, just means it's less useful in hardcore outside specific builds that can handle any amount of reflect (vaal pact, etc)

This is how i would like Vall gems to work:

1.- They give you the normal and Vall version of the skill.
2.- All kills charge souls no matter witch skills you use to score them.
3.- The Vall version of the skill is manually cast, no auto-cast when you have enough souls.

In a week we will know for sure how they work.
