Everything is simple. My opinion is based on personal observation of my own and sellers/buyers behaviour. Personally had two fully geared characters, labrunner (6l Brass Dome) and expensive one - ele hit archer (6l chin sol, 6l QOTF, xoph's blood and so] and have all basic "levelling gear" for new char, if I would like to create it and some good gear from previous gear upgrades. Don't need to spend much, unless I would like to bu some mirror worth sword for labrunner or HH for archer.
Then I see, what people want to buy now. Belly of the beast? Few chaos now, >50 on the first week of the league. Same issue witfh "dance of steel" and "the nightmare awakens" prophecies. Fall down from ~40 c to 3? 4? Or something like that. And many, many other items. Conclusion is simple. At the moment players are geared, most of them even don't need more exalts, and definitely will not buy them for real money. At least not in volumen, which could move chaos/exalts price too much.

Bots are a problem for GGG, but not in the sense you think. Until recently, one of the company's shareholders was the owner of one of the big RMT sites and the bots acted quite freely, same as now, except for one incident in "Incursion", when their owners exaggerated and almost ruined the entire economy. After this action, several bots have been banned, but now, as you can see, they returned to the game.
So, where is the problem? Well, it appears at the moment when people who do not create bots starts "boting". They just download bots from somewhere on the internet and configure them without any skills and knowledge. This is already a problem, because such bots may adversely affect the operation of servers - more work for GGG, moreover, bots can work like trojans, providing their creators password for "boters" accounts and e-mails. They lose their accounts, and then cries to support that someone robbed them, no one knows how. Another problem. That is why GGG does not want the game to flood the horde of "unprofessional" bots :)

More like a sarcastic insinuation that GGG are fine with botting. Whether you agree with that or not I don't think he was trying to encourage people to bot.

It was just sarcasm, as I understand from the context. A joke with an ideas like "r there only bots getting all the advantages?" and "If GGG allows it probably it is the intended way?".
Correct me if i'm wrong=)

It was an obvious :hmm: type of sarcasm.
GGG's mods have never been known for not having pinecones up their rears, especially when it's someone poking fun at how they're not doing much of anything when it matters, and blowing up their own game with bad "fixes".
