Alternate Quality Gems in Path of Exile: Heist

most alt quality are either weak or downright useless... and few ones that are decent will give you like less then 1% benefit at endgame... pretty underwhelming.

Ground Slam alt.2(60% increased Area of Effect, 40% reduced angle) will make it a very thin and long skill like its counterpart in Grim Dawn.
Herald of Purity alt.1( Minions have 10% chance to Taunt on Hit) is generally very good for any non-minion users. p.s. gcp would be 5 chaos each in the next league... Two-handed - Mop

Freezing Pulse altq2 "Cannot Pierce Enemies" is pretty poggers and something ill propably gonna make a build around if i get my hands on it.

So if all gems are weighted equal then there's around a 1 in 2000 chance of getting the alternate gem I want...
I hope way more than 1 gem drops per run. Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent. The list is huge but a bit underwhelming. There is quite a few very vecent AQs, especially for various ways supports are used. Kudos for that. Vast majoroty does not offer improvement over existing ones and will just increase amount of game trash.
Great idea in principle, not sure if the goal to give every gem AQ worth the effort as it's clear for most gems ideas went dry |
